Great video. I am installing an S2 in my van. Due to the location I need to put a few extra 90s in the exhaust hose. Will any amount of contortion of the exhaust hose be it 90 degree bends, constricting the hose or expanding it potentially damage the unit?

Hi & thanks for your question. We wouldn't recommend it, because every 90° angle increases the counterpressure and thus reduces the effective exhaust length. As far as damaging the S2, we would need more concrete info on what your plans are - how many bent angles do you want to put in?

Thanks for the reply. I was worried that would be a problem. I will have to work out a new approach I guess. It isn't worth the gamble. If there were too many bends in the exhaust, what happens to the heater? More soot build up?

Dear Eberspacher Team, Could you please check for me what will be the altitude limit for Airtronic AS3 B2L 12V 2kWts 12V heater number 20.2029.05.0000.0B since it is more budget friendly with the enough heating capacity and better size wise for further installation in my LR Discovery 4 🙏 And maybe there is some additional device as the altimeter that can be bought separately in order to upgrade the limitations of AS3 model? Hi Max, so bad news first: There's no altitude kit for the current gen of the Airtronic. But here's the good news: We've gotten the results back from long-term test runs with the AS3, and the system can manage up to 4.000m of altitude instead of the originally stated 3.000m. Hi RoobehTunes, the Airtronic S3 and M3 are available as both petrol- and diesel-powered versions. The L3 and XL3 only take diesel fuel. Hope that helps!

Hi there, and thanks for your interest! Yes, to get the automatic altitude adjustment for up to 5,500m, you need to opt for the Airtronic M3 Commercial with the mpn you mentioned. :)
