Just found out this legend we call gene smith passed away in 2016. Super intelligent guy who wanted all of us blue Color guys to be able to afford an airplane. And what an an amazing airplane!

This is lovely, a full covered and painted wing and tail, rather than undercambered single skin sail cloth, welded ally fuse and wing frame. And a great smooth 50hp engine.

This is the cleanest design I think that preforms very well. I think you know what you're doing. Check out the Davis DA11 on youtube. The plane flies 135 mph and gets 100 mpg on a 20 Hp Briggs and Stratton 4 stroke engine. I like your plane

The fuel burn on the big twin 4 stroke is 5 - 6 quarts and hour. What is the fuel burn on this engine?

The fuel burn with the Hirth is around 2 gallons per hour. We haven't measured it exactly since most of our time involved a lot of takeoff and landings.

Thanks for the reply. So they wouldn't slip off right? Just slip on the rim as you braked? As in the rim is stopped but the tire is still moving (along with the plane)...

Michael Massey On this plane we went with a F23 2 stroke. It is 50hp and 25lbs lighter than our Subaru.

Need to see more of you in the ground not your wing flapping in the breeze so try again maybe we can see more of you The plane and in the ground or more of you less of the wing and seems to be flapping in the wind we don’t need to see the wing we need to see you in the ground and what you’re doing not so much of the wing
