I love this series. Seeing the spy family is good too. I like anya but damn this series gets me more. This is more realistic just like kotaro lives alone series.

i read the manga for this and loved it but yeah i get what u mean although the roles were reversed and i was as kind as i could be only it was to my brothers. Also technically they're cousins but she sees him as a big brother which is adorable

I HATED Reiko in this series the most . You're going to hire detectives to search for this child because you felt drawn to her, since you couldn't have kids, but then you dump the responsibility on a 16 year old kid ? I call it " the pot calling the kettle black " on this one . I mean, throughout the series, not only did she do NOTHING to help Kippei out when he needed help the most, but she would also come home from work just about EVERY NIGHT so drunk, she's falling all over herself, from partying the night away, and yet she thinks SHE has the right to teach Kippei about being responsible ? Really ? But I also hated the way Kippei's own mother and grandparents LET her wreck his life just because they didn't want the responsibility of raising the child themselves . So Reiko chose to find Yuzu and bring her home because she herself can't have kids ? Well, maybe if she stopped sucking on those booze bottles long enough, she wouldn't have HAD that problem . Maybe if she had taken more care of the INSIDE of her body, instead of just focusing on her outside appearance, she could've found someone to settle down with and they could've adopted a child of their own, but knowing Reiko, she'd probably dump that responsibility on her younger brother too .

THANK YOU I'm glad that I'm not the only one who saw this and was angry about it, but the sister was awful. She commanded Kippei take care of Yuzuyu mostly as some type of punishment to him cause he messes around with girls without considering Yuzuyu well being nor Kippei's. Kippei figures it out and ends up being a good guardian to Yuzuyu, but that doesn't change how awful the family was for putting him in that position and taking the risk of him messing up.

I don't know about the Anime, but the Manga was one of the most disturbing experiences I've ever had. Abandoning, abuse, stalking, yandere, borderline, every other chapter a new atrocity ... I quit reading halfway through. Can't recommend this story at all, except you fancy to become depressed.

I have never seen it but I got it recommended. I like not to go to jail so I might skip the show how a Teenager takes a child from the playground and let it sleep in his bed.

Wow, I remember reading it like 10-15 years ago but I don't remember those details at all. Man...maybe I should re-read it. I remember thinking it was pretty decent, not great, but good. Edit: Just checked my mangaupdates review and apparently I called it 'Impressive' and gave it 8.5, suffering from melodrama at the end like Kodomo no Omocha...I'll re-read it some time
