Either he’s not into PDA, which is understandable or OR - and this is what I’m leaning towards - he enjoys your lifestyle and the social circle but YOU specifically do not fit his worldview of said lifestyle so he’s trying to get a leg up via the business before he drops you for a potential newer model that does fit into his view

I could understand if he was on the spectrum or something but this sounds shady to me.
