This is why you speak to your family before you pass away and make plans for what you want after death. From what I understand the son and second husband are both assuming what she may or may not have wanted and in the end the second husband can only go with what he wants, which is fair. If she truly wanted to be burried next to her first husband, should she not have had the foresight to bury him in a plot with enough space for two? I know those exist. But what do I know. If I can be made into compost one day, I'm happy.

I'd assume when she buried her first husband, she probably didn't expect to remarry. She couldn't have planned ahead for that. Or maybe at the time there were more plots.

Anyone else just sad that a couple of teenagers have lost both their parents in their short lives, and a mere 8 year-old is motherless? This family has a dark cloud over it. No one's an asshole. It's too bad the mother didn't make her wishes clear; she probably thought she had a lot of time left.

How stupid are these people, "who dead bury and who live merry", the son should realize his father was replaced the moment his stepdad adopted him. Adoption is optional and it screams volumes.
