NTA. Nope! Every single time you look at those kids, they will be a reminder of the betrayal. If your in-laws want someone to care for them, let them do it. Your ex was verbally abusive to you. Your children loathe their deceased father, and they "hate" their half-siblings. Let them so into foster care. Put that money into a trust fund .

She has no attachment to that child in no way at all. Soon, those in laws will be her ex in laws

Those DMs to forgive dad and step-monster were probably dad and step--monster using throw away aliases or their close friends and family.

I have a half uncle that is from my grandfather's first marriage. Growing up, he was a name rather than an actual family member. He went to prison a few years after I was born and got out I think last year or the year before. He isn't allowed at my grandparents' home, and he is still just a name even though we do talk about him sometimes. I knew he had gone to prison, I knew he was my mom's half brother but I didn't know what he did until I was 25.

@RedditFamilyTales it kind of did but we still don't talk about it or him often. He calls more now my grandpa has dementia and doesn't remember him as well.

@errorsanz. he did something that KZbin would prohibit talking about. He was a serial take advantager of women and it started at a fairly young age that he would creep on his youngest sister's friends
