idk they way she was written about I’m not sure it’s correct to call her a “person.” She seemed to adapt her behavior and personality to whomever she’s dating/married to. She never expresses what _she_ wants, only what Steve wants. Can you really call that a “person?” It’s probably why she replaced her deceased husband so quickly, the thought of not having an authority figure to latch on to was probably terrifying. And just to be clear in case someone takes this the wrong way: I’m not saying all women are like this, only this woman in particular seems to be this way.

Well, I’m on the fence with that. I will always feel like the house was built under a historic meaning so why this guy came in and thought it’d be a good idea to tear out walls and everything even though that house was built with historic accuracy to it why the mom OK this is the most important question. Why did the dad see fit to lead the house to the sun all that smells like she was having an affair with this guy while the dad was still alive, and he was preparing for the fact that this might happen, but on the flipsidethis guy is cold and heartless. I guess it has to be that way he made the right decision.

They were both still grieving, the mother perhaps in a different way one would deem 'normal'... but everyone really does have their own way of dealing with profound loss. i really enjoyed this video, you did a great job presenting the story! that being said, i have to admit i find it a bit hard to side with the mom in this situation. i mean, shouldn't she consider her child's feelings first? it just feels like a huge betrayal, especially since it's her kid's home too. what do you guys think?

great video, really enjoyed the storytelling! it's interesting how family dynamics play out, but honestly, i can't help but think the mom should've been more respectful of her kid's feelings. siding with her new partner over her own child feels a bit extreme, don't you think?

Those people who listen to only one version of the story and start lecturing you are the worst. No respect to them AT ALL.

Steve sounds like the type of conman who trolls group grief counseling looking for wealthy widows to prey on. When she first showed up to the group he googled her and found out she was the widow of a man who own a large restoration company and figuring as the wife she would be the primary inheritor of considerable wealth moved in to take advantage of her fragile mental state.

A second mortgage on a car? And that was enough to get his family through a multi-year financial crash? A crash centered on… home mortgages. And he’s a building contractor. In Seattle. By coincidence, I moved to Seattle in 2009. There were a LOT of new high rise condos that went up downtown. Mostly stayed vacant. Mostly STILL vacant. Building contractors got so fucked there. Amazon built a new multi-building campus downtown, ten years later.those vacant condos finally sold, but not for what the builders hoped. And they don’t do second mortgages on cars. They don’t even call them mortgages. You got a mustang, and need some money? Sell it.

I really enjoyed this video, the storytelling was engaging and kept me hooked! however, I can't help but wonder if the mom’s decision was truly fair. I mean, it's tough when you have kids from different relationships, but shouldn't a mother's loyalty also extend to her biological child? I'd love to hear what others think about this situation!

this video is really well put together and sparks some interesting conversations. i can’t help but feel like the mom should’ve been more mindful of her biological child’s feelings in this situation. it seems unfair that she chose to side with her new family without considering the impact on her own kid. what do you all think?
