Yup! My sister cheated on her husband multiple times and then left him for the last guy and quickly got married to the side boo. Me and none of my siblings went to her 2nd wedding. She keeps trying to get us to validate her behavior with manipulation tactics that we all see through now. I’m glad it happened because now the family sees her true colors but it sucks for her ex hubs and three kids. I’m so thankful to have a close relationship with my “previous” brother in law (now just turned brother) because he goes out of his way to let us see his kids because we wouldn’t if it was up to my sister because “we don’t support her new life” so she doesn’t want anything to do with us (which is fine with me) my dad is a lot like the dad in this story. Why does it feel like the mom wants the older and betrayed sister to give in and forgive but also spare the little sister from facing the consequences of her actions? If the family is falling apart it is due to the actions of the sister and she needs to acknowledge and focus on that. The reason the older sister is also not able to move forward is mainly because you are blaming her for feeling hurt and not allowing her to feel it. Just a thought.

I’m figuring because hailey is the baby and always got what she wanted even if it was in Jennifer’s hand because mom made her give it to her sister. As most babies do. And Hailey got used to it and was probably always jealous of Jennifer. Took jens man and expects mommy to back her up like her mom probably always did.

Hailey and sam are equally to blame because your loyalty should be to your sister above all else. I don’t have a sister but I have a cousin who is my best friend and I would die before I would hurt her like that. If her man hit on me I’d tell her ASAP and we’d go key his car together. This isn’t a situation where Sam left the daughter for a stranger who had no loyalty to Jennifer.

This mom definitely favors Haley over Jennifer... youre telling one sister to get over her lost marriage, relationship, hopes and dreams to her SISTER... I would NEVER forgive my sister for this... Haley seems selfish... the mom is definitely promoting bad behavior... im sure she doesn't mean it, but it is what she's doing....

Forgiveness does not equal restoring the relationship. Her sister has shown her who she is and should be treated accordingly. This family has terrible boundaries and I am willing to bet the mother has been the asshole in many more situations than this.

Okay first off never tell your kids you should have told me then. Also never side with the child who picked the cheater. Don't invite that man into your life. He treated one of your daughters this way you'll treat both of your daughter's this way. Even if he doesn't treat the other daughter this way forgive and forget is the stupidest thing in the world. If ignorance was Bliss we would still be sacrificing our daughters to some unknown God for better crop Harvest. This man needs to be held responsible for his actions if he is a man. If he's a boy your daughter shouldn't be marrying him end of subject. I would literally disown and undo one of my children if they did this to anyone in the family let alone their own sister. 1 sisters jumping from relationship to relationship that wording right there just shows how much the mom is victim-blaming one of her daughters. A normal person might say she's moving from one relationship to another or she's not having a steady relationship because she's torn up inside. Not she's jumping from. Those are very derogatory word making it seem like she's very intentionally skipping relationships. Rather than her subconscious in that, really affecting her and her ability to trust and move forward especially when her own mother won't acknowledge her show validation to the one who was legitimately cheated on by her husband with her sister. He didn't always love the other sister or else he would have called it off before. He was caught! And decided to go with the tail he could keep since he pissed off the other one

The fact that when they found out what Hailey had done, the mom barely spared a thought for how Jennifer felt and moved on to “he’s going to do it to you too! Please reconsider” is very telling! Parents like this are emotionally abusive and most don’t even know it and/or refuse to acknowledge it. Edit: And I bet a million bucks that if Jennifer had done that to Hailey that the mom would ostracize her.

@Tiffany-lj7bi3 жыл бұрын
So, the mom also needs to think of it this way; the daughter didn't just steal her sister's fiance but she put a wedge, and essentially destroyed, their family and the love they had for each other. It puts mom against dad, sister against sister, mom against daughter. In the end, the mom isn't just pretending this didn't happen but allowing her family to fall apart due to her youngest daughters actions. That little girl needs to know that actions have consequences. The mom needs to support her eldest daughter and her feelings and tell her youngest how shitty she is being. The destructive one is the youngest daughter and her soon to be husband. She is allowing the toxicity to be ok and supporting it by going and trying to make everyone be supportive of it. Also, that makes the mom just as toxic as her youngest daughter. She learned it from somewhere 🤭🤷♀️

This entire family will need intense therapy after this, although it likely needed it before. Jennifer will need help to get over the trauma of all the wrongs done to her and to feel she is worthy of love after such intense betrayal from MULTIPLE people. Hailey should get some help to figure out why she’s both insecure but has a delusional sense of grandeur with the “it won’t happen to me” and the mom..... the mom has too many issues to even address. Dad will have to deal with realizing his wife enabled the ruin of his family. This is such a horrible situation that never should have happened

@EDFarrar843 жыл бұрын
I just want to get in front of the two cheaters (and mommy dearest). To Sam: She couldn’t be loyal to her own sister, her blood. What makes you think she’ll remain loyal to you? To Hailey: He has a proven history of cheating now. What makes you think he won’t do it to you? You see how easily he’s swayed from a commitment he made. To Momster: Sam and Hailey’s actions destroyed the family and have caused the divide. You just proved to Jennifer there’s a favorite for you and it’s not her. You expect her to heal and forgive on your time frame. How do you forgive when your own sister betrays your trust? The woman you’re supposed to trust to have your back and never do something like this? And then for your mom to attend the wedding of the two people who stabbed you in the back? What the hell is wrong with you?
@brendamoon26603 жыл бұрын
There is a big difference in forgiving and pretending something is fine. Forgiving means Jennifer doesn't waste her time thinking about her sister or ex. It does not mean she has to go to their wedding or sit through holidays with them.

In order to forgive an apology has to be made from BOTH sides and even then you cannot expect for the sister to just forgive. What they did is unforgivable family or not is only right to cut them off mother included the only one worth going back to the parents is the dad.

She literally wants to hold the daughter that was messed over accountable for the other daughter’s actions while not holding the daughter in the wrong accountable at all. Of course she’s been doing this to her forever. Mom is the enabler that has allowed it. She clearly expects her to just get over it and accept the betrayal on account of her sister’s happiness no matter how much it hurt her. As if to say : She destroyed your life, suck it up and be happy for her as she lives the life that was promised to you.

The mother doesn’t seem to understand the gravity of the situation, the sister choose that guy to spend the rest of her life with, probably thought about their future a million times (kids, where they’d live, vacations, little moments) now that sister is going to have to watch her sister experience that. She’s going to see the future she thought she’d have play out but it’s her sister in her place. Honestly taking 10 years or more to completely forgive her sister seems reasonable to me, and if she never does that’s also reasonable especially if this type of thing has been going on since they were kids.
