I actually support laws that limit what you can name your baby. I like the way they do it in Germany, where theres the list, but if its a perfectly fine name that judt doesnt happen to be on that list, you can make a special request for it.

I think it depends on the way op went about it. Did he tell her about his situation? Was he very blunt when saying it. Saying something is probably the right thing, but op needs to be nice about it

I got bullied for my name so I say op is not the asshole and my name is pretty normal but my initials spell B.A.R yes my initials are bar and my dad is an alcoholic and gave me my first name because of his favorite alcoholic drink….
