Aiwa HS-PL777 PL77 walkman - cassette player repair fix

In this video i have successfully repaired Aiwa HS-PL777 very nice walkman with hx head.
As for all my repairs i use only Panasonic, Nichicon or Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors.

I had one of this model of Wwalkman in the 90s and have to say it was flawless for over 5 years and used every day, I listened to 3 or 4 albums a day with it, probably the best walkman I have ever had, I wish I still had it to be honest as nothing I had after came close for sound or reliability.

Hello sir what do you suggest, my sony walkman Sony WM AF64 walkman, I changed the belt . it's playing but instead of music, its coming a whistling sound. may I know what wrong ? with my walkman. thanks.

It is hard to identify what is wrong. My suggestions would be: 1. carefully check tapehead cable with tester if all connections are ok. (from your description could be tapehead reference ground cable loose or broken.) 2. if there is no problem with that cable then you have to track where you loose signals by using service manual (service manual is available in google searching for this "WMAF64_SM_SONY_EN"). What about it? Belt i bought from fixyouraudio. I am not measuring them, but i think they are .7 or 0.6 mm and folded length about 105mm
