Aiyn Zahev Sounds presents SERUM Classic Trance
Featuring 180 presets inspired by some of the best trance tunes from the turn of the millennium. While Serum has a pristine clear sound, the sounds here make full use of the filters, EQ, distortion/clipping, and the dynamics section to bring out tones that are classic in character but will fit right in with modern production styles.
There’s a strong emphasis here on the core of great production sounds. Basses, Leads, Pads and plucks, even digital vocal-like sounds, with just a handful of drum and FX sounds for good measure.
Since Serum features a basic sample playback oscillator, I thought it ideal to use small single samples expand the palette of this bank in key areas. Adding stereo waveforms and noise goes a long way, along with waveforms reminiscent of classic digital wave playback (PCM) synths.
Serum Classic Trance will be a huge asset to anyone working in the EDM genre, whether in the modern classic trance resurgence, modern melodic techno (which commonly utilizes retro trance sounds with a wink and a nod), or anything in-between.
The bank breaks down into the following: 36 Basses, 33 Leads, 33 Pads, 18 Plucks, 47 various assorted sounds, and handful of FX and Drum presets. Many of these sounds can cross categories, plucks and leads making for great bass sounds, basses making for good plucks, etc

The arp in Grace sound almost identical to the arp in the classic -Desert moods

Robert Miles used a Kurzweil K2000 (or K2500?). Not a fan of Robert Miles myself but many other artists I liked used the Kurzweil synths, too: Secret Cinema, Robert Leiner (The Source Experience), Cosmic Baby, ... The K2500 would be an interesting option to pick up as hardware. That said, also Technics WSA 1 as used by Speedy J.

I guess Lizard/Komodo lead will never get reproduced 1:1. It looks to be some hw synth preset as it's exactly the same in this track from 1996 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpqnlIeapsxkl8k. Too bad. Same with Proximus lead.
