Omg, I'm so happy that you introduce us to Aizuwakamatsu for many reasons. One is that I think it's in the countryside of Japan where hidden gems are still sleeping. Secondly, it's in Fukushima, where sadly, there's a lot of negative image about the prefecture due to the nuclear accident. I'm glad you had fun there!!!!

I’m so glad you enjoyed the Fukushima (AIZU) series! parts of it have a dark history, but it really has amazing hidden gems waiting to be discovered. I agree with you so much! Thank you for watching - we hope you visit soon ❤️❤️

This was beautiful. I’ve always loved the look of traditional Japanese homes and I love the countryside, I feel like it never truly gets enough love from foreigners visiting Japan for how beautiful it truly is. All you ever really hear people who’ve visited talk about is the big city districts, hotels and shrines.

aaahhh I'm obsessed with the station cat! It's so cute with all its portraits and stuff. Those samurai lessons also look like a ton of fun. I would love to do something like that if I get to go to Japan again.

aizuwakamatsu was the only place that made me feel like I was in the samurai era when I was in Japan. A city full of history. Tsuruga-jo, Ryozen Jinja, Aizubukeyashiki and Nishinkan.. Wandering around was like time travel for me. Aren't they great places?🙂🙏

Thank you Caitlin for sightseeing in a lot of locations on behalf of me!!:) Despite being a Japanese, I don't travel so frequently or experience traditional events(In addition, I am not good at using chopsticks...lol). Thanks to your excellent and exciting videos, I can learn with joy about Japanese traditional architecture such as shrines and temples, feeling like I travel with you. Above all things, I was moved by your vitality. How great of you to do whatever you can do proactively! XD

You where my teacher in 7th grade at Iwakuni Middle. I was looking through my subscriptions and wondering who you where. I remember you were telling me about having a KZbin career, and one of my videos actually hit 100k after I followed your advice. And also it's cool that you have 150k subs.

Caitlin, nice trip! Aizu has hosted a lot of JTubers recently, so it is nice to see your take on it. What was the music at around 13:45? It sounded a lot like a piece I heard on the Akita Inaka School channel, from Takenobu.

Aizu Wakamatsu is included on my next itinerary , but it is rarely covered by anyone , and I’ve never seen it in this detail, so thank you 😊. How did you get around - are there ways of getting around using public transport? Such a beautiful place 💕
@dothetwist2983 жыл бұрын
There are two tourist buses that follow the most popular route. You can also use usual city buses. Car would be your best option but I don't drive, so I always use the bus or a taxi when I go there. If you want to travel FROM Aizuwakamatsu to another town in the Aizu region, then you just use the train. But note that depending on the area the number of trains might be scarce (one train per hour). Ouchijuku is a 40min ride from Aizuwakamatsu.

We are going to Aizu-Wakamatsu early November and find your two episodes on this place very informative. We plan to take that that Oza-Toro train to Ouchi Juku and To No Hetsuri. Would you know of an English online site where we can book tickets?
