i have a Norwegian Forest cat and the way they name them at the cattery is every litter has a letter from A, B, C etc. I had a cat i got from a rescue who i later discovered was a Norwegian, I am an avid train traveller and after my cat Aimé died of a fulgurant sarcoma at only 8 years old, the best way i found to do to reboot my heart was to go on a cross-Canada train trip. Still, i had researched Norwegian Forest Cat catteries, there are only 4 in Canada and 1 in Québec. I had contacted the one in Québec and i composed her a message while i sat upstairs in the dome car of the bullet lounge on the train, weeping in the dark at 3am in the middle of Canada somewhere. She wrote back promising me i would have the first pick from her next litter of kittens. That was in 2015. My kitten came from litter H and she named him Hatchi :) I renamed him Merriweather (Merri) but that was still really touching and heartwarming :)
