Looks awesome!!! I've got the same plane, just finishing it up and awaiting the weather to cooperate.

I fly 3D and play guitars too, my guitar fingers really help with the stick dancing when it comes to aerobatics. Also, the colder weather is actually better because you get air pressure and air density making everything floaty, and the surfaces grabs more air. When it gets hot like summer the air is thinner and more power is needed, add altitude to heat you'll get density altitude where the plane wont even grab any air. Where I'm at it's already 7000ft, and plus the heat your plane will fall quicker, it's fun to see the physics in play cause in an RC model it's so significant. You'll feel the comparison in conditions, fly that Slick all winter long, and then fly it during the peak of summer heat and you'll feel a huge performance comparison on how floaty the plane is.

@@monchichis333 it's totally the opposite for me. I started flying RC airplanes around 7 years old. I have tried to pick up the guitar but it's incredibly difficult for me, and I still suck at it lol. One day I'll figure it out

@@SteveMcCormack_ I started playing guitar at 8, Im 40 but still has a long way for mastery cause there's just so much in guitar and music theory. but I started 3D style flying about a year and a half ago and I'm getiing a lot of maneuvers down, I'm learning the more complex ones like getting clean consecutive rolling no name and such

I wish AJ would make some small park flyers again. I had one of his 43 inch slicks that he designed for 3D hobby shop back in the day and that was A great flying little plane! Would love to see what he would come up with with the sub 250 weight limit in mind. Eflite, Fliton, 3DHS, PA and many others used to make small balsa 3D planes but the just don't exist any more, I don't understand it.

Great flying. I really liked the video. I just got the exact plane and gathering parts for it now. I have a radiomaster TX16S with the 4in1 built in. I was thinking of going ELRS. Any issues with ELRS and flying 3D? I've been reading ELRS is not good for 3D but your flying looked great.
@SteveMcCormack_Ай бұрын
@@jeffersknopp6266 hey! Absolutely no issues using ELRS. I run 333hz to match my digital servo refresh rate and I haven't had an issue for over a year. The only thing you need to look out for is channel 5: channel 5 is dedicated to ARM with ELRS, so to be safe with fixed wing, you can't really use channel 5 safely. That's the only real drawback I've found to using ELRS, other than that, it feels great. Ive never felt more connected to my planes, and confident in my link.

Thanks for all the info. I will look into switching to ELRS.

@SteveMcCormack_ what servo arms did you use? I am planning to use the same KST X12-508 micro servos that you did for my AJ 51. I was just wondering if you used the plastic servo arms that came with the servos or some aluminum ones and if so what size.

How do you transport the TX16s with the module installed in the back? It wont fit in the carrying case that the TX comes with with the module installed. Im curious because I own a 4 in 1 and I am thinking about adding ELRS capability.

@@dannyreiter3613 hey! I use a Radiomaster Ranger Micro module, I usually just take the antenna off and it fits right in the foam case it comes with 👍

Another question cuz im a noob, the sunnysky 560 says it has a max amp of 80. I thought we were suppose to match the esc to the motor so why such s low amp esc?

@@aaronmitchell1036 it's adjustable to how you like it. I run 333hz HZ to match my servo and receiver refresh rate. It just makes everything feel smoother and more connected in my opinion.
