That's the beauty of the rules of the XFL. 3-point conversions and 4th and 15 really helped St. Louis there.

Yeah, that's the point of adding those rules. The likelihood of them succeeding was small, yet there's more possibility for it to happen. In the NFL, that lead with 2 and a half minutes left would be a game ender. No excitement. Here, it's not, and the defense still had to play. It was still a game. W XFL.

@@318lovejones Idk, the BattleHawks were held to 2 first downs the entire first half which is terrible. There were a few times McCarron threw a pass and there was no BattleHawks receivers anywhere in sight. Either the receivers don't know how to run routes, or he doesn't know where to throw the ball. But I'm glad they turned it around in the 2nd half.

Man... McCarron has been around a while. He was the best of the "last generation" of Alabama QBs. The ones where they'd win NCAA championships but weren't good enough to start in the NFL (which went on for like... 20 years). Looking at his wiki, he threw only 109 passes in the NFL... 79 of those in 1 year. Cool to see him starting.
