Confidence is not walking into a room thinking you’re better than everyone, its walking into a room not comparing yourself to anyone at all.

Your pups were so happy to see you! 😁 Finding out who you don't want to use is just as important as finding out who you don't want! Food was the hardest thing to decide for me!
@AjaDang2 жыл бұрын
absolutely. I'm still having a hard time finding a caterer. It's like... am I unreasonably picky when it comes to food or are they not good?

My fiancé and I are having our wedding in March 2022 in Palm Springs we live in LA too. Our initial budget went out the window when we realized how much goes into every single thing. I decided to save some money by not hiring a wedding planner but rather having a day coordinator. So so much work, calls, emails etc. It’s crazy! Now with two months left to go we are almost ready to see the final results and fingers crossed all my own wedding planning ideas come to life, many tears of frustration/excitement, stress, etc pay off. It’ll be great, just remember you’re only doing this once so you’d best get what you want without going too over the initial budget. Best luck Aja

Ahh soo exciting seeing all your wedding planning coming together!! Weddings can be stressful for sure and you can plan everything to a tee, but everything will work out just perfectly! You won’t even notice the small hiccups when you’re walking down the aisle, girl. Cheers to the rest of your wedding planning experience - so excited to see everything come together for y’all! 💕

Brah Forreal! Hawai’i costs are ridiculous, even with Kama’aina. We near died when we got all our rental invoices especially. If anyone can work a budget, it’s you! Sending love! We loved meeting with: Keneke’s, Chef Elmer, Tanioka’s. Highly recommend Pua Cake Studio also, if you still need cake & desserts. Dbhemingnway is a beautiful florist also, her work reminds me of your style and vibes 🤍

I almost cried watching you reunite with your doggies!! I wish that they could be apart of the wedding 🥺 I also appreciate how outright honest you are. You’re not like the other KZbinrs who show the highlights, you show the real process and it is relatable. Also curious, where is that blazer at the end from?!

Ugh, the EMPHASIS that you put on the words “unreasonably expensive” breaks my heart about Hawai’i every time. 😞 As happy as I am to be moving (back) to the mainland, I’m still holding on to the hope that things will change for the betterment of our local ‘ohana. ❤️ Thank you again for documenting your wedding planning journey, Aja. We’re rooting for you all the way!

it's hard bc I definitely understand the struggle of living for these vendors, especially after the rough few years they had. So it's trying to balance giving the vendors what they're worth and the budget. So it's hard.

1 minute in and I am out of breath from simply watching Brian skip up a mountain I had to take a water break 😂 Edit: the costs are whewwww but I'm super interested in the florist stuff the most, were they just too expensive as well?
@AjaDang2 жыл бұрын
our quotes averaged $4500. Trying to find some silk rentable florals to help with cost.

I adore these Hawaii videos. Would you do a Hawaii travel blog without the wedding stuff? This is all stuff we can't find as tourists. Instead of hotel isn't it possible to get an airbnb? we got a wedding suite at the hotel just for 2 nights to splurge
@AjaDang2 жыл бұрын
sadly the Airbnb's in Hawaii are expensive and... ugly. How you gonna charge $150 a night to sleep in a 4Runner at a beach and call it "camping". it's wild over there.
@nineohsix92 жыл бұрын
I feel you on hotel blocks but know its your guests responsibility to find a places to stay, try not to worry about it but blocking rooms does give a discount (SLIGHTLY). Also suggest to your guest sharing an Airbnb as well. As for us, we blocked rooms at the Hyatt (somewhere in Bay Area). It was a really easy process, great customer service in my experience, and the deposit will be refunded after all the rooms are blocked. Once you block your hotel they have a list of recommended shuttle services you can use.
@AjaDang2 жыл бұрын
did you just call the hotel directly and they set it up for you?
@nineohsix92 жыл бұрын
@@AjaDang You can email them directly or even ask to do a Zoom meeting for any clarifying questions you may have. We actually met up with the sales manager onsite because we were in the area. You just have to make sure that you get # amount of rooms needed. If I am not mistaken, your wedding small, I'd reach out to friends and family and see if they are interested in room blocks, after you get your hotel block quote. For us we have to fill 80% of our block. Our wedding is around 70 ppl, so I just asked them (most are couples, family groups, and a group text with friends lol 70 seems a lot to text but it wasn't hard haha) So we booked 10 rooms. Don't include "maybes" lol If you're unsure maybe just do a small room block. P.S. We are going to a wedding in Maui at the Hyatt in Nov of this year. Our friends did a room block, I think if you book direct its around $500+ but with their block it was $480ish. So yeah not much of discount. Hawaii is just expensive man....

Aja thank you for sharing your experience! I also fly standby (thanks Dad) with Southwest and have yet to try to go to Hawaii. Do you usually catch red eyes? Is it ever too busy for you to be issued a ticket? I want to try to fly standby but I'm worried my partner and I wouldn't be able to get on
@AjaDang2 жыл бұрын
I NEVER fly standby with Brian it's wayyy too stressful, so we normally buy full fare tickets. With standby, you definitely have to be flexible, and standby for the first flight out. With early morning flights there might be misconnects or people sleep through their flight so if it's a full flight, you'll have a better change to get on.
@gabyl51042 жыл бұрын
What does it mean to fly standby?
@AjaDang2 жыл бұрын
that means you don't buy a full-fare ticket but you stand by for empty seats. this is reserved for airline employees and their famiilies.

did anyone count all of brian's shakas in just the first minute LMAO
