Ajoy Sodani is an avid explorer who resides in the Himalayas. Spellbound by mythology and folklore, he is the author of Darra-Darra Himalay, Darkate Himalaya Par Dar-b-Dar, and AvakAtankvadi. He is also a Professor of neurology.
Aparna Sodani, a radiologist by profession, is an art lover and mountain enthusiast. She has set her feet on more than 25 sparingly traveled trails of the Greater Himalayas in the last 17 years, earning her two Limca Book of Records entries. One of them is for being the first woman ever to cross the dangerous Auden’s Col.
Laxmi Prasad Pant is a journalist who has worked for numerous newspapers and magazines over his 20-year-long career. He is currently the State Editor for Rajasthan for Dainik Bhaskar, the biggest Hindi-language newspaper. His bestselling last book, Himalaya Ka Kabristan, was named among one of the most authentic reports on natural disasters.
Pushpesh Pant is a part-time teacher, part-time author, TV anchor, and independent producer of documentaries. Obsessed by food for the last few decades, he has been trying to rediscover lost culinary gems from India’s vast and varied repertoire. Pant doesn’t believe in prohibition or prescriptions when it comes to dietary matters.

Described as the 'greatest literary show on Earth ', the Jaipur Literature Festival is a sumptuous feast of ideas.

Festival Co-Directors Namita Gokhale and William Dalrymple, alongside Producer Sanjoy K Roy and Teamwork Arts, create a platform for an array of speakers to debate, discuss and present their ideas in the annual five-day program set against the backdrop of Rajasthan's stunning cultural heritage and the Diggi Palace in the state capital Jaipur.
Past speakers have ranged from Nobel Laureates His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, J.M. Coetzee, Muhammad Yunus and Orhan Pamuk, Man Booker Prize winners Ben Okri, Howard Jacobson, Margaret Atwood, Marlon James, Michael Ondaatje, Paul Beatty, and Yan Martel, Pulitzer Prize winners Andrew Sean Greer, Benjamin Moser, Colson Whitehead, and Jhumpa Lahiri, Sahitya Akademi winners Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, M.T. Vasudevan Nair as well as the late Girish Karnad, Mahasweta Devi and U.R. Ananthamurthy along with literary luminaries including Amish Tripathi, Chima¬manda Ngozi Adichie, Vikram Chandra, and Vikram Seth. An annual event that goes beyond literature, the Festival has also hosted Amartya Sen, Amitabh Bachchan, the late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Fry, Thomas Piketty, and former president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai.
The Jaipur Literature Festival is a flagship event of Teamwork Arts, which produces over 33 highly acclaimed performing arts, visual arts, and literary festivals across more than 40 cities globally.
