When everyone heard Pilla was KIA over the radio, everyone went quiet. Their aura of invisibility was cracked. I remember reading an article a while back, Pilla was revered throughout his unit, he was a Soldier that always did what needed to be done to get the job done, he had a reputation of being a fearless Soldier, almost like a super soldier so to speak. He took out several militiamen in that run including the guy that shot him. When news hit he was KIA it really hit the rest of the guys mentally. What can become of us if we lose someone like Pilla? Rest in Peace Sgt. Pilla

Listening to this song(piece of music) and thinking about all of the souls lost to war especially those lost very young to satisfy a politician’s ambitions. We must respect the relics of these wars including those used to take life in the wars since the human veterans are going to be gone from earth forever one day. We must remember these lost souls and what they left behind. 0ccassionally I remember the lost souls through my experience in a dangerous Life situation.... no need to just 'respect' relics of the past to remember the lives of the now. Don't get me wrong, those that served should always be remembered, and rightly so, regardless of which side you support. A person's demise is still a loss, doesn't matter your beliefs. Let's not glorify war, people die outside of war too ..

To everyone who believes and loves to say war is never the answer; reality is a very different thing to expressing your own views from the comfort of your gaming chair. Reality does not care about your personal views, it does not care about your political views, it does not care about you. Human beings will go to war. And you must respect those who put on the uniform because you will not. There is no escaping human nature. Help those who confront it. And this is from someone who has never served.

Like you I've never served, however i say war is a good answer but never the solution... Remember that human beings engage in war because we've never conquered the 3 literary devices. Man v Himself, man v Man, man v nature. & Thus the youth, who serve, particularly in the U.S. armed forced have a burning need to put on the uniform and symbolize justice through it. However, their goodwill is often overshadowed by corrupt politicians and corporate interests that utilize their zeal and in some way shape or form create men & women but let's be honest here mostly men who if they aren't fighting for the right reason become monsters...
