Watching him play was like watching a lion pick off a wounded gazelle. He was an apex predator, it was instinctual. No emotion, no fear, no mercy, and unrelenting dead-eye ruthlessness. Didn't say much, didn't complain for no service, barely spoke to the ref, he just had one thing on his mind at all times and was constantly on the hunt. I think that's what gave him an edge over every defense. Nothing phased him, he was always probing to make his own opportunities and looking for his next kill. List the top 10 centerbacks at that time and he didn't care, they were just prey to him. When he wanted the ball and you didn't meet his energy, he simply went right through you and took what he wanted. There were so many goals where he simply overpowered world-class centerbacks when they weren't up to the challenge.

In the 08 09 seasons he was godly. As an Arsenal fan I hated him, as a football fan I love his game. One of the strikers I loved the most.Right foot, left foot, header, outside the box, around the goalie. He had everything, full package. When he is back to the goal and he turns his defender you know its over. With all that said, still don't know what happened to him at Chelsea. They don't make strikers like these nowadays. Appreciate his game so much.

an underrated and under appreciated attribute about torres was how good he was at not only producing off balls shots, but how good at converting them he was.
