not speaking english is no excuse. total bullshit when you are in another country. I just received a response from MOD Horse Guards., quote" Following a period of refurbishment, we have only just introduced the new white line areas and new signs where the soldiers and horses are located. It will take time for this to be recognized by those visiting Horse Guards. As in the past, should individuals be in the way or touch the horses, the soldiers will still endeavor to give verbal warning. Where police intervention is required whilst the Ceremonial duties are being undertaken, they will step in as and when necessary, just as previously. We will continue to monitor this daily and review if any other measures are required." There you have it. ALL guards are to can speak up but some still don't, "endeavor" means an attempt to do something. therefore the guards are to make some sort of an attempt and not just sit on the horse and keep their mouths shut. when the tourists touch or are in the box. . I am sure the guards would rather be doing something else instead of dealing with the public, just watch Peter Ellis's interview. Just like that woman tourist in the blue everyone who knows the rules must speak up to those entitled tourists who break them, that includes the you tubers who are taping . We all hold a responsibility to protect and help the guards and horses, back up those guards who speak out and the others who don't and should. standing back and watching rules being broken and not saying anything makes you are as guilty as the person committing the act.
@Sternchen35hh3 ай бұрын
I had to look up the word "endeavor" and I was dissapointed, because it doesn't mean the Guards have to obey the new rules. Endeavor means the Guard can give verbal warning if he wants - or not. It's his discretion. 🤷

Love this guard he was right on it!💖The horse had told someone off too tried to bite him and the man didn't like it at all. I often wonder how many brain cells these visitors have two at the most and they don't seem to have joined up thinking with those. That Chinese woman looked at that guard as if he had personally insulted her! The horse is still unhappy they are still to close and I think the constant chatter is getting on his nerves it is certainly is getting on my nerves, some people could do with volume control. Why is that people have to stand actually on the line there is no need to do this they just think it doesn't apply to them. He really did look after his horse and the horse did his bit as well. All we need now is across the board common sense and all guards working together to show they know what they are doing and stop making complete asses of themselves in front of the public in other words a united front and show pride in their regiment and horses!😊
