IOI put so much into this mission, changed the facility, created new NPCs, put so many assassination opportunities into it, etc. that it really should have been a special mission, not an Elusive Target. The one try nature of ETs discourages the exploration, making mistakes, and trying again that are core elements of the game and instead encourages playing it safe. Without either the mod that allows playing ETs whenever or using Peacock there's no way to explore and try out different things, find the hidden stuff. There's a ton of opportunities to eliminate the main target and his clones in this mission but the vast majority of players will never discover 99% of them since they only get one chance (and the arcade doesn't count as that has to be bought and has restrictions on methods and things and has the 12 hour lockout if you fail so you still can't just explore and make mistakes.

Yep and to think how many times they've done something like this similar before, but just gave it to us for free. There's a special Easter, Halloween and Christmas themed levels, all free. But now they want to keep making these just so they can sell them to us but like you pointed out, they're not fun to play for the reasons you give. It's not how this game is supposed to be played, it ruins it's fun.

Especially bad considering the second part of the ET involves not being caught doing anything illegal or you insta-fail. It makes it hard and impossible to be creative with what you do knowing if you someone catches a glimpse of doing anything illegal, you have to wait 12 hours to do another attempt. I do wish there was a way to experiment a bit more.

If you use a goldbrick mine to take out Dr Hei and Pritchard and then stash Hei's body or take her out before Pritchard arrives, then he'll suggest to his guard that it was odd of valiant to not arrive and offers that they head to the noodle bar when he browses the menu for the rest of the level.

You don't even have to hide her body. If you use an emetic syringe on her, she'll go puke over the wall behind her, and the guards leave in disgust. Despite being right in front of him she will take so long that Pritchard gives up and goes to eat.

Slightly disappointing that Valliant doesn't react very much, but cool that they have any dialogue for eliminating all the clones before him, something I imagine the mission story(/ies) lead you away from doing. You did run into Valliant once or twice before all the clones were dead, though. I wonder if it's possible to kill all the clones without even doing that?

If you don't poison Pritchard and his security detail and continue with the story, eliminating all the clones before eliminating Max, Max will question Pritchard in his office and is convinced that he sent an agent to destroy his project. In turn, Pritchard catches a face full of bullets and you become the target.

If you do something to compromise the tour (such as a banana used on Max) then he and several clones head to his office where they execute the board member. After a call he and the clones enter a permanent search mode except for those who can’t be active (the dancer and the split one).

@ I’ll have to play it some more but what I did was set up a banana peel near where Max first met with the board member then he skipped on it at some point. After this he, several of the clones and the board member (plus the doctor lady) all go to his office before she is sent out. I’ll let you see the rest itself - just know once it happens all clones who aren’t in a special circumstance (such as the splitter one or the dancer) enter a permanent search mode as well as Max himself so it’s a good way to isolate some clones who might wander far outside the facility.

On the Arcade mission 2/2 (where you can't replace starting outfit), I killed the one above the incinerator (accident) and Max skipped him during the tour, one died to the gold ball after Max's demonstration, I killed one during the hand-to-hand demonstration, and by the time we reached Max's office he's called all of his clones there, told the ICA guy that he was there to destroy his operations and had his clones kill him. I was outside the office and was not shot at, but it resulted in mission fail.

No, i think its more like sorry you had to do something that hit so close to home. It's because 47 was also a clone made up of the DNA of men who specialized in martial arts, assassination, etc. If you follow the story mission and you take disguises and stuff, you can hear some conversations between the NPCs calling the clones freaks, how weird they are, or just disgusting. At one point 47 responds, "you're a freak" to someone when he calls the clones freaks when they're talking

Yes. But Dr. Hei is an enforcer to that disguise. So she won't lead you to the meeting. If you take her out, Max doesn't recognize you as Pritchard. So nothing happens.
