When choosing a caliber for my AR "pistol," intuitively I chose the 7.62x39 with a 10.5" barrel. This presentation gives me empirical evidence that I was too busy to collect on my own. Thanks.

Would like to see what an 11.5" barrel would accomplish with various 7.62x39 My guess is that it would be very close to the 16"
@MarkBadia2 жыл бұрын
The closes in size is the AK104 which has a 12.4" barrel. And I do agree it would be nice to see if you have all the performance of the 16" barrel in the 12.4" barrel which I believe is the case, so, is it worth adding a couple of inches probably yes unless you want to shoot suppressed and not it is 8.5 inches with the 2.4" of barrel and 6" of suppressor and not you are losing a lot of the mobility the mini provides.

According to Paul Harrell, when you have duplicate chrono readings it means the chrono had an error. He just throws out the 2nd reading and takes a 3rd shot to get a different reading, idk

125 grain soft point is ass, 154 grain soft point from Tula is where it’s at, that round is devastating flying out’ve a 10inch Ak.

I have a few cases of S&B 123gr SP and a dozen cases of Norma 123FMJ. Lots of steel case stuff, too. I have maybe 500 192gr S&B SP subs. Wonderfully adaptive round. Tell me about this MiniJack. Never seen it's like. What's the brace? Did it come as such? Or did you add it?

Just wondering if the forend on the 10" AK was hydrodipped or how you got a woodgrain finish on what looks to be a polymer forend as I was wanting to do something similar. Thanks.

Thanks you this was an excellent video and you may have changed my mind on going with the 16" Jack but instead going with the Mini Jack, but I am thinking about going with the Milled receiver version they just came out with versus the stamped version.
@JoeWayne842 жыл бұрын
Milled be better in a full barrel length for sure it’s going to be heavier and offer slightly better accuracy . You won’t really notice the difference as much in accuracy with the shorter barrel just the weight difference mainly. Personally I’d always go the opposite and if I was mounting a magnified optic to a AK I’d get a milled receiver if I was going with a 1x red dot or holographic sight a stamped receiver will be as accurate as the optic will provide anyway so you won’t benefit from it. I own both options and my favorite AK pistol I own is a Zastava mpap92 with a eotech it’s the perfect 100 meter and In tool.
@MarkBadia2 жыл бұрын
@@JoeWayne84 Hi South, thanks for your reply. I'm just curious as I was also considering the mpap92 and they are certainly more available. You said you own both, did you mean own both a Mini Jack and a mpap92 or a milled and a stamped receiver AKs? If you have both a mini jack and mpap92 why is your favorite the mpap92? I am trying to decide between the Mini Jack, the Draco (12"), and the mpap92 if I go short barrel AK.
