Nice little touch of symbolism I just noticed. At the beginning he's looking at three swords, two wooden, one steel. Then he fights three men, two cowards, one brave.
@setiawansetiawan51035 жыл бұрын
3:30 he can pretend to be honorable all he wants but we all know fighting against an expert spear wielder with a sword is a pain the ass
@vesrei13114 жыл бұрын
You see he refused the coin, implying he wanted to fight for the sake of it not for money. But fighting against certain death is not fun, that's why he refused to fight against a spear.

Hah! I like how the bad dude's acting all honorable by giving Fiore a longsword after his first breaks, but like, you know he just low-key doesn't want to fight a spear with a longsword.

I still can't believe how perfect this - and all your other videos are! Everything is top-notch: the fight choreography, the camerawork, the acting, the story, the music, the cinematography, even the selected quotes. I know it's a fictionalised version of Fiore, but I really see him come to life here

@@GrueneVanilleWaffel An Italian Swordmaster and Knight, born in the mid-14th century, in the province of Friuli. He wrote his knowledge down in eight sets of manuscripts in the early 15th century, by which time he had been on the Sword's Path for 50 years. Of the eight referenced, only four have been recovered.

The characterization of the Sword's Path as a smug German mercenary is quite nice :P. Also This has been said before But Rafal looks so cool wearing the full fiore outfit. You guys have done an excellent job popularizing Fiore's Art as well as Hema in general, and though I'm sad that this seems to be your last video on Fiore, I'm quite excited to see what you'll do next.

It's really not a sorry excuse for a sword man. For the money it's hard to beat. Not all of us can afford an Albion....yet.
@greywolf72066 жыл бұрын
nah, not really. As allan points out in his channel, you can grab a Regenyei for like, 50 extra bucks or so, and they have far better quality than Hanwei's half assed chinese crap.
@rebjr58446 жыл бұрын
NightFury_BR I got a blunt and sharp Tinker in 2010 for around $200 American as a promotion. That was a good deal, but even now looking for a Regenyei, I see them at least $100 more than the Tinker. Maybe quality has dropped since 2010 on the Hanwei, but both of mine are good steel, light, quick, and responsive. The sharp cuts like a monster and the blunt has done everything I've asked of it in sparring. This is my experience, but perhaps others have not been so lucky.
@JunKishibe6 жыл бұрын
That particular specimen was, in fact, not a very well-made sword intended for sparring. It had some serious construction issues due to craftmanship mistakes that made it particularly weak and prone to cracking. Every piece of metal has its breaking point, but if you accidentally overheat the hot spots for then quenching them you know it's going to be more fragile than usual. If none of that happened to your Hanwei TP, lucky you, just watch out for the moment when the breaking actually happens.

@Chaosism6 жыл бұрын
KomaruKirinashi It _did_ break spontaneously during a take. _The Sword's Path_ released that clip to talk about the breakage of that sword some time ago. You can tell by the actors' reactions that it wasn't planned, but they fit the scene in quite well, anyhow. :)
