@@ghostly6848 I can’t give an answer that grasps any considerable amount of information regarding systemic injustice/racism. but the rough idea is that - even though technically slavery isn’t a common practice anymore (unless you consider the U.S prison system/13th amendment an extension of slavery, which I do) .. People of color, *specifically* African Americans have been given a generational disadvantage in wealth. If your grandparents were victims of slavery less than 80 years ago you won’t be in the same socioeconomic position that a family would be that didn’t endure that. Another example is over policing of “urban” , “ghetto” communities. These areas aren’t overpopulated by people of color by mistake. These are the same neighborhoods that were polluted with drugs in the 80’s by the US government in order to stall the progress of the black economy and also push the anti-drug agenda. I am a white canadian. i have no dog in this fight. i also acknowledge what Canada has done to indigenous communities. It’s very similar. Anyway i’m not here to argue , I just think that if you approach info like this from a point of understanding instead of contrarianism you will start to see why it’s a big deal

If dave says that clout is addictive to the killers, I assume he is implying that it shouldn't be reported but then if ppl don't report on the murders, they complain that no one cares about the deaths in Chicago.
