thanks alot,i was finally able to finally get it going with your video,I really wish you would do one on the new force 3.2 newtwork midi to PC standalone synths(not ableton)some others made videos on how and its possible but they all leave out the most important part-showing us the changes they make on the akai screen,your videos always show the whole process...thanks

Good video. Thanks. If i am not wrong: 1-you can not get MIDI out from an instrument track. That is a fail. Very useful for doubling tracks 2-can you change an existing Synth track like hype to a MIDI track easily in the track config? 3- you can not import MIDI files directly

thanks for the video very informative! let me ask you a question: lets say you had the force, the mpc live and some other hardware synths. Which one would you want to send the master clock and be the (main) sequencer? the use case is - i would like to use the force to play notes on either the MPC live and or other synths.

I hope we can talk to AKAI about opening up a higher octave range than 5 , 1,2V per octave (easy) and 10V gates (unlikely) It's just that it is quite limited in terms of controlling vintage and high end audio equipment like Buchla, Moog or ARP synths. The 5V do not cut it.

I know I'm lagging a bit but if my synth has a USB can I use this instead. Force was purchased as used demo unit on sale and it came without this adaptor. I'm going to order one but being a newb was just curious if can use USB for connecting synths etc.. thanks. I know I'm late and have some catching up to do but your instruction videos are by far the best on yt!!

Hi Matthew, I enjoy watching your videos, I am thinking of buying the Force as it has just had a price drop in my local store (£1300 down to £900). I like to do research before I buy expensive kit (that's why I watch your stuff). I have watched quite a few posts on forums and youtube that are quite negative highlighting various problems with the Force. I notice that you don't seem to have any problems using the Force, have these issues been resolved with the 3.0.4 update? I would be grateful for any info. Thanks

I was able to follow your instructions and, play my external synth (Roland V synth). The Problem I am having is I want the arp. on Vsynth to clock sync. This was easy on my previous Groovebox. So if I playback track on the Force, when I turn on the ARP.on the Vsynth and try playing it nothing happens. I have the Vsynth set to receive external, and the first 8 channels all set to receive as well. Like I said this was no problem on my MC505. All I want to do is have the Vsynths ARP> to clock sync with the tempo off the Force and Play. Please HELP!

Is there a way to output drum modes? For example if I want to control an drum rack within live? As far as I can see the midi tracks only output push note data

Can you run 16 hardware analog synths from the Akai force and make it the hub of your whole studio? I assume it would be best to have a a midi interface so you can give each synth it's own midi cable rather than daisy chaining (for latency and organisational purposes). I quite like Ableton Live but want to replace it with hardware and Push 1 didn't do it for me. I never bothered with it as it was just quicker and easier to use the mouse.

Hi Matt very interesting channel! Just a few questions.... can I sync Aira products like system 1 or tr8s with Force in order to sample their sound? Is it possibile with mx1 mixer too? I've got these gears but I don't know how to link them (if possible).... thanks

Regarding MIDI sync clock. Although the Force says it sends MIDI clock I cannot get it to do this. I have to use an old drum machine to send midi clock to my devices.

In the LIVE/X you can same a project as a preview. Can you do the same with the live? In the browser you can audition demo tracks but not your custom saved projects.

How does it compete vs octatrack sequencer? Is it stronger or signal is not as synced or no worries
@junglsmor5 жыл бұрын
since it has two usb ports could you plug in 2 midi keyboards into the force and play through 2 midi out tracks to 2 external synths simultaneously?
@MatthewStratton5 жыл бұрын
Hello. You can only play the active track. 2 Midi keyboards would only trigger 1 item/synth.

Hey i tried to connect my force via a miditech midi thru4 splitter to my synths but i faced a problem with the power supply via midi when used with the force. with Octatrack everything is working perfectly. Did you stumble over the same problem or is it only my force?
@noobslayerr97324 жыл бұрын
Thats my main trouble which pulling me back getting this. I think is meant to be as a completely standalone device. Like an instrument must be treated so octatrack might pair up perfect with this

Matthew Stratton Oh I agree. Want the Analog Heat and one of the synths...a buddy of mine the Octatrack and LOVES it but I’m not sure how I’d fit it into my workflow. I’m also considering an Akai...either the Force or the MPC X. I’m primarily a Maschine user, but I am very intrigued by the Akai MPC world.
@MatthewStratton5 жыл бұрын
@@beMOTIONdESIGN I actually sold an Octatrack to help fund the purchase of the Force. It has a steep learning curve, but seems powerful. If you are intrigued by the MPC world, then the MPC X would probably be a better option. The Force has features of the MPC, but lacks a lot of the primary features of the MPC. They have different workflows, but the same program types (keygroups programs, drum programs, midi programs ect). Akai has a good history of updating the MPC, so who knows what is in store for the Force. That is what intrigues me about the Force. It will evolve over time.
