They both sound good, slightly different textures. Pick either and make your music.❤

I use the MV but MPC definitely sounded better pitched down. Wasn’t expecting that.

On MV try to sample with auto emphasis for different texture
@vubeatz22 күн бұрын
I will try it :)

I like adding a lil hiss to the samples and use de-emphasis it gives the sample a nice lofi tone

Mv my choice

There's enough of a difference in the two to justify having both. That's all I need to know. My personal preference is the MPC but the MV also has great features that would be useful

The biggest difference we can see after -10 pitch like in 78rpm examples. But I really like lowend on the Roland side :)

Mpc 2000 is much better especially on 78 rpm with that artifacts on high frequencies! Would you make mpc 2000 vs s 3000 comparison?

I have 2000xl and 3000 comparison already, but maybe it's time for 2000 classic :) Check it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4WwZZ6ga5hkoZo&ab_channel=vubeatz

the MV 8800 retains more low-end information in the sample. The resample algorithm in the MPC is second too none though. I Like Them both. The MV for everything it brings in every other aspect is in a class of its own though. MPC 2000 is a great all around sampler that retains what has been sampled into it very well.

Every 3rd stage the 8800 sems to lose clarity
@MattmanAZ0923 күн бұрын
Its anti aliasing filter is sloped at a lower frequency. Also perhaps the 2000 has a slight amount of resonance on it filtering with 78rpm that gives more bite to the sound. The filtering on the 2000 was very well executed by Akai to make percussion sound interesting whenever tuned down.

U can get the clarity if u click auto emphasis while sampling are u can do it after u sample roland give u acess to auto emphasis pre-emphasis and de-emphasis if u want that lofi sound
@londonps675122 күн бұрын
Akai is definitely more clean. The mv on the last sample sounded like it had way more artifacts on 78 and not as clean and hifi

Don't like the heaviness of the emvee in comparison to the 2000. That said if there wasn't a side by side comparison no one would nitpick at it. and I don't like Akai, and am a former emvee user

Comparing these two units unfair & unequal. The MV will murder any MPC except the 4000/5000. The MV is a “Multi-sampler which means it can be used for sound design purposes. The MPC 2000/2000xl 3000 & older cannot🫡
@vubeatz20 күн бұрын
Mv cannot even murder 2000 classic on 78rpm :v

@ I respectfully disagree. The MPC’s are great sequencer’s & good “Drum” samplers but anyone who is into deep sampling & sampling synthesis will agree with my statement.

Let’s start again. My sampling comparisons are for people who are looking for some sampler and they wonder how they sound. There is no winners and losers. Viewers can make their own opinion.

@ I love your recent videos so i didn’t mean to offend. BTW I’m just an MV enthusiast in an MPC dominated world. Aye what camera are you using. Quality is 🔥

MPC sounds way better, MV sounds degraded and and not in a good way, just lacking top end.
@jamesjr255022 күн бұрын
If u want to keep the topend u have to click auto emphasis so the mv dont degrade the sound are u can do it after sampling to get the hi end back are de emphasis if u want to take away the high end for a more lofi sound
