This is a monumental Gem seriously..... im a firm believer in "working smarter not harder". You have been a god send to my production no b.s. I purchased my 1st mpc a few years ago and it was so overwhelming & frustrating. I know you tutorials will change my workflow immensely. Many blessings to you & your family

I'm 2 minutes in. Great ideas for performance based finger drumming for a mistake free set- dont wanna break the groove of the crowd. But I urge all finger drummers to also perfect method of every single note play for the thrill of skill and musician pride (if that's what your going for). All perspective I suppose. Finished it. Same thought. But VERY useful- especially in workflow of production.

Nice Tips! Didn't know about the offset with one pad playing same/multi samples... For the flattened kick/snare/hat samples; you might want to chop them as "Patched Phrase" as this allows the tempo of the sequence to be changed without them getting out of beat. The sample will be played, either skipping a section (when tempo is faster) or repeating/looping a section (when tempo is lower).

This is a super dope. I watched this video like five times in a row. Forget about this being a cheat. It’s productively genius. I will be “attempting” this for sure. Thanks for providing this workflow work around

loads of useful tips, thanks. had my mpc for around 6wks, so still figuring work flows out. definitely like the way you're playing here. love playing the pads-that's why i got the mpc over something like an octatrack. i'm feeling a bit guilty and lazy tho, i haven't had to read the manual because i've just been watching all your vids. lol. i've dropped you a paypal pint for the new year :)

Hey bro if I chop up a drum loop I can't layer a pad with the chops unless I save each individual chop and then I can layer them on the pads am I missing something 😂
@neosimmons22995 жыл бұрын
I got the thick pads for my MPC x ...... are they good finger drumming I hope so I paid extra lol ... also should I adjust velocity on pads ... or leave as is meaning dm default ?
@CodySmiley3 жыл бұрын
MPC is really shitty for fingerdrumming. The pad sensitivity is awfully bad. In general, it works so that you either hit max 127 or try to do it gently - then it will be randomly from 1 to 100+.
