All those effects are cool but why go through that if u can easily jus select the left or right input and u can select whether u wanna sample in mono or stereo (top left corner)…im sure u know this im jus curious why bother wit the inserts to achieve the same thing?

On the sample page you can just toggle to sample L only or R only instead of L and R.

Nice operating upgrade, thanks you for the lesson! usually I just delete the left or right when I’m working with an old recording where they separated tracks, but that work flow looks like you can do waaay more. my favorite was the keybassline in the beginning of Break on Through by the Doors, great intro when separated.

I just realized the SP 404 mk2 always samples in stereo but can use anywhere from the left and right part of the sample. I hope you do more mk2 videos in the future. The sample inputs are a little confusing

Nice. Is there a benefit to doing it this way vs. using the Stereo to Mono function in sample edit mode? I have been using that and choosing whichever side has the sound i want to make it mono.

I was actually curious about your opinion on something: so I’ve only ever worked with mpc’s but I was thinking about getting the Roland Sp-404 for shits and giggles. What do you think? You can export left or right separately from program edit, or you can even sum L/R and export to Mono.

Dear Marlow… do you have a simple video that explains how you use the file structures? I save all my tracks as one off files… I don’t know how to save individual samples to a pool to use in future tracks…. Sorry mate I’m 45 and computer illiterate 🤦‍♂️ cheers for the videos mate… keep up the good work. Also where is the master fader to monitor the overall levels?
