Hey man sweet vid, so you manually placed all the samples yourself? Also i was just wondering about the quality of the pads, and if theyre accordingly responsive to the touch

Hey I've got a question Would you suggest that the MPD18 is a good way to start creating beats? Do you think a beginner would be able to get into beats with this? Thanks
@alexkalero50589 жыл бұрын
Hey! I'm the guy in the video. Yes! It's good for a starter budget! Cheap and built like a tank. I would like to see the sensitivity improved, though.
@BattleAudioRecords6 жыл бұрын
true that, i also have one, sensitivity sucks, you need to hit it with a hammer tho lol

OUT-FUCKING-STANDING. I just ordered the new Akai MPD 218 that just came out a few weeks ago. Had to get it through Sweetwater music online because guitar centers arent' even carrying them yet.

how did you add the music

This is awesome, well done! Any thoughts on how I could use the AKAI with Cubase to do this kind of sampling?
@awesomecowboy8 жыл бұрын
+havesword willtravel thanks for your reply. I have a very early version of Cubase without groove agent 1. I found a plug-in that will allow me to designate the pads but I'm still having trouble learning to splice music into useable portions
@awesomecowboy8 жыл бұрын
The creative aspect I have down. Got lots of ideas. It's the technical aspect of splicing a song or sound piece. Can it be done in Cubase? I know how to import a sound file into Cubase, but how would I go about cutting it and saving those individual pieces to wav files without groove agent 1? Not sure what tools of Cubase I should use to do this in an efficient way

Yes, you can chp the song and sample it in different DAW or vsts. I suggest you try out Ableton Live, there's plenty tutorials in youtube that will get you started!

how do you get the sounds on each pad ?
@alexkalero50589 жыл бұрын
Hey! I'm the guy playing there. Just chop any song and sample the clips with Ableton Live or Battery or whatever you use as DAW / VSt drums ^^
@Rachelnymetal9 жыл бұрын
cool
@rubberduky18299 жыл бұрын
Rachel Hilgert To further expand on his answer. In the MPC essentials software or on the hardware you can drag and drop any sounds to any pads, then go into the chop and edit functions and alter the start and end points or you can isolate any portion of a sample and have only that part playable. Then you just arrange your samples where you want them to go as far as what order on the pads.

wow. thanks

cool beans. I also would say check out the new AKAI MPD series of pad controllers. I just bought the new MPD 218 which has way more functions that the original one in this video. I got it off of Sweetwater Music online for only 100.00 dollars.
