Hey. I also just recently installed VIP to use with my MPKmini Play. I had some trouble using the Hybrid plugins with VIP and using the mini Play. I got it to work now. First I uninstalled and reinstalled Hybrid into the Steinberg/VSTplugins folder. Then I opened the plugin manager in VIP and selected the said folder. Now it found Hybrid and installed the plugins. To got my mpk mini to work I opened the audio/midi settings in VIP, checked the mpk mini under active midi inputs and selected none for control inputs and outputs. Hope this helps

@@joannehorrex7548 hey I was finally able to get it all setup. You? I did mine on my laptop. It doesnt show much latency or anything just yet, but some sounds do sound a bit dated.

@@jodymcdougle8810 hi Jody..I think so but I couldn't install it from the website as it was being blocked by apple, I have an advance 61 which came with VIP and is the main software for the controller, it worked before I formatted my drive on macOS Catalina I had to go through the process of trying to find the files on my time machine back up and restore them..it was painful but got it working last night, though doesn't show up as a vst in live 10? At least my controller is alive again :)

@@joannehorrex7548 thats a plus! Do you have any videos online? Or any tips and tricks you could provide? I really wanna customize mine and design my own sounds and banks kinda like I did on my old microKORG. But havent had much luck. The only thing I lile about my AKAI is the weighted keys. There is no "end" on the knobs, it just turns forever lol. And it feels extremely plastic. I wish I would have spent the extra for a Native Instruments controller, but I really dont have the funds for their software.

Im trying hook it up to my roland sp404 mk2 and cant figure it out. my understanding is that A1 channel should control the bank A on the 404, A2 bank B and so on. Any advices would be very appreciated!

Thanks for the tutorial. The section on how to program the pads for CC and how to get the knobs to work is a bit fast, and also I can't see clearly what you are doing on the screen. Is there a deep dive on how to use the knobs and program the knobs as well as CC programming the pads? If yes, please provide the link(s). If no, please consider making additional tutorials.

Just picked up a mpk225 and was thrilled with the vsts. But Ive done everything Ive seen here and VIP still wont recognize my controller. It works in ableton9 and mpc beats just fine but I cant get it to play in VIP. Help?

@@Spookylo so far from what I have found out, with mini play, it's all controlled in the favorites button which is why the MPC editor is slightly different as well.

Click on what looks like an empty folder. The bottom one on the left then find hybrid and click on it. Then scan. It comes up but no list comes up on the left where he says it does. The only reason it does is because he already has it on there. May be this only works for mac users

nice video..but what is not clear to me, if the mpk is following the channels I switch to..for example I have one synth and channel one and then I switch to channel 2 where synth 2 is loaded ..can I control the parameters on channel 2 with the knobs now without mapping something new ? I use a 3rd party controller with VIP , but if I switch to channel 2 or to the inserts , I always just can control the synth on channel one..or lets say the vsti on channel 1 bank A kind regards

Hey, I'm having issues with my K6 Knob. It's stuck as mapped to the master volume of the multi, and can't be remapped to anything. I've looked online but I haven't seen any fixes, just two other people with this problem. Any ideas on what I should do? I've tried a few different things, like changing the CC of the knobs but it doesn't change anything.

The only thing that didn't work was changing the presets with the pad in cc mode , I believe it's something else you did maybe in the editor not sure but when I hit learn and the up and down arrow turns orange nothing happens when I hit the pad , in this example numbers populated the arrows to show it registered but when I hit the pads nothing happened I hit them with cc pushed on and without so if you could show what you did in the mpk to give the pads the ability to do that it would be very helpful.

I've got the program free with the MPK Mini, thank god it was free. It's absurd to try to sell this software. I haven't seen a program so buggy in years..

I will tell everyone something that might help , if you hit prog select and punch pad 5,6,7,8 it changes the settings , example say you set the knobs up and they are working fine and for some reason you hit prog select and a pad , it will change the set up so nothing will happen , what you do is press prog select and the pad it was originally on and if you don't know do it to all the top pads until it's working like it was, so in all reality you could control 32 things with the knobs , 8 knobs , 4 different programs and pressing prog select and the pads change the program, small things left out like that make a huge difference , that's why everybody isn't a good teacher.

I installed VIP, did the iLok setup, etc. However, in VIP, settings > audio/MIDI settings, there is no way to select Active MIDI inputs, no box to check, etc. HOW do I fix this . . . I plead for mercy here, if anyone can offer some clues. Also, my VIP screen here is a bit different from what appears in this YT video. In the MIDI "learn" mode, the orange boxes are not there, the commands discussed here don't seem to exist on my VIP here ???
