For this reaction to Akala - Fire in the Booth 1, my friend and guest, Dice7820, is joining me. Akala is becoming my favorite UK rapper. His raps have a deep message about politics, racism, equality, freedom, education, and economics. This UK rapper is a knowledge seeker who rhymes fire lyrics and spits deep and truthful bars. Independent artists are often so underrated because they aren't being advertised by a record label and usually aren't played on the radio. Akala is a special talent.

I meant to say that Marcus Garvy was a political activist, not a political scientist haha. I also misinterpreted moat to mean mound, like a burial mound. Sorry if that confused anyone. I hope you enjoy the video, and go subscribe to and follow Dice7820😁👇 kzbin.info

The bar before the 'feces' bit always gets me. "When our grandparents came here to Britain, if you had a criminal record you couldn't get in" the idea that these people were coming over couldn't be trusted was wrong, basically all that mistrust and hate was put on a bunch of hardworking people who was allowed over here.

It was put on anyone different. Irish, Scottish, poc, Eastern European. People fear what they don't know or understand. He mentions in another FITB that pocs are now doin the same thing to the Polish immigrants. Too many ficus on what happened to jus their group. Education is the 🔑. Ignorance kills

Just a couple of thoughts on what you said in the video... In the UK a letter box is a slot with a little flap cut into your front door. So if someone puts shit through there it's literally going straight into your house onto your floor. So like even worse than what you guys were imagining. Also I didn't really get what you guys were saying about the moat, how it was maybe a burial ground or a battle site or something. I maybe misunderstood what you were saying but a moat is a ditch dug around walls to help keep out attackers. I think the point of those bars is that these supposedly "primitive" people dug this moat 20 metres wide and 17 metres deep around a city 400 miles square, which is just an insane feat of engineering by any standard.

Love what you guys are saying. Tough to minimize drugs though. Just to say you "understand how they can lead to bad" things is a huge undersell. You should watch the documentary on Seattle's homeless situation. Social workers, police, doctors, nurses explain how bad it is. They say that those THOUSANDS of homeless, living in tent cities, are all on serious drugs. Not just a high percentage, but ALL of them. Keep up the good work.
@YoungbloodPoetry

I just meant that me taking a drug only hurts me, while r*ping and k*lling hurts others. Drugs are definitely harmful, but i was agreeing with Akala when he said that the justice system's priorities aren't in check.

10:25 yeah I mean generally here we learn about the civil rights movement in North America which is great HHHHowever we don't learn about the movements in Britain (and there were many) because here they like to pretend it never happened. 🤔 which is an L coz you may grow up believing nothing ever happened. So it is bittersweet, but I mean they don't teach us all he talks about AT ALL but it allows an affinity to rise for our family across the pond. I wish we still had Saturday schools which were started by Blk Brits for Blk kids in the 70s and 80s so they would learn about their history (continent and diaspora) AND help with just their academia. In Britain, racism just doesn't even 😂😂 it's like air, well they TRY and say it is...🙂 kmtTTt
