Was there ever a band like it - no egos, no pretence, just bloody brilliant at every thing they do. And they have a sense of fun. When Kanami, Misa and Miku surround the drummer Akane they are all pulling silly faces to put one another off! No one misses a beat. Just absolute talent.

That's one great thing about Band-Maid... either you start by the newer songs and go back on the catalogue or you start in the middle and go forth and back or any way you start listening to Band-Maid, you will have the same result: it will always get better and better. So, until you know aaaaall their catalogue, you can be sure that there is a song you never heard before that is going to be as awesome as the ones you already know.

So many of us have said the very same thing. Band Maid are so unbelievably under recognized for the immense talent that they are. They should be on rock radio stations worldwide. But I believe their day is coming once the world gets back to some normalcy.

You definitely need to check out more of BAND-MAID. The way they are cranking out songs, the more you will fall behind in discovering and enjoying their music. The newest album released this year already has 3 music videos that are worth checking out. Then to top it off, they did a tribute to the fans by releasing a new song "About Us" that is not even in the new album. So, yeah looking forward to you to reacting to some more of phenomenal group.

You can tell when people become fans of this band, because they have a great big smile plastered to their face through the whole song, and I always love seeing people react to Freedom and Akane's solo. Here's a bit of trivia for you: During one live performance of Freedom (you can find a fancam of it somewhere) Miku sang the lyrics to the first verse instead of the second. I can't think of anyone who hasn't made that mistake during a show, myself included, so I just laugh and sympathize with her. But ever since then, one or the other of them will go up to Miku during the second verse and stare at her, to remind her to sing the right lyrics this time. So that bit where Kanami sits next to her? Yeah, that's what that was, hahahahah.

Band Maid has more fun than their audiences (if that's possible) my favorite parts are when she starts her solo Miku and Kanami are cheering here on and pumping their fists in the air. The second, is when she comes out of her solo she gives this big laugh all the time while she keeps perfect timing. I will continue to say they are the most adorable musical bad asses on the planet. I honestly think that people in the management Band Maid camp have hurt their popularity than helped. They still do not have accessible distribution for their content in the west. Also the companies that flag or strike KZbin channels for streaming content for an up and coming band like Band Maid are not helpful. I know many people would probably disagree, but like it or not KZbin has become the new word of mouth (especially during lockdowns). KZbinrs are influencers. I think that these record companies should spend about 10k and start sending KZbinrs direct content to review or download reactions. I guarantee if they had better distribution in the west and started openly pushing their content on KZbin by the time things open up Band Maid will be well on their way to their goal of World Domination. If the suits in their camp don't remedy this. It will be impossible to achieve this.

You can notice that this is not challenging for them to play at all. It's a happy "easy" song, they play it on almost every live show, with plenty of time to fool about. The new album though, that is different. It has chaos and madness in it. They made the songs difficult, each member was challenged. MISA said that she has to look at her hands while playing and might make mistakes when she's tipsy on the stage. That's unheard of.

From a technical point of view, one could perhaps tell that the song is not one of the newest from their catalogue. If I remember correctly, it even comes from the time when the girls didn't create the songs completely on their own. That's why I find it all the more amazing what they do with it live and especially how much fun all of them seem to have playing it. A really nice song to lift up the mood with the drum and guitar solo as an extra on top whose transition into each other I find simply brilliant. I've just had a quick look at the comments so far and I don't think anyone has mentioned yet that Akane has caught the attention of some bigger names in rock. At a concert I think in 2016, a certain Jimmy Page was standing in the audience and was so impressed by her that he asked for a conversation with the good girl after the show. When they broke the news to her, she thought it was a joke. It's ok if you don't do Band-Maid reactions every day. We need some time to adjust to normal people playing music, so we can appreciate all over again how insane this group really are. As someone who grew up in the 60's and 70's, I can say with growing confidence that this is the best rock band since the Beatles.
