Akasa Air wants to be as sustainable and environment friendly as possible. So in order to conserve water, they didn’t have any water cannon salute for any of their inaugural flights

They are expanding now Joydeep. As of now they are serving Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Kochi and plan to start services to Chennai soon.

the best part was for me a different India sight, trees, lush green. I'm frustrated for not having a beautiful meal service served on trays and all that 'ritual' of the golden era of aviation! I'm nostalgic.

Absolutely. Have to agree with you. Meal service, pre boarding refreshments, metal cutlery, the list would go on. But times have indeed changed in accordance with preference of people. Nowadays we see flights as only a medium of transport from A to B. Hence the birth of low cost travel. Nevertheless the surrounding in Kochi is beautiful.

Is 737 Max safe? Have all the software glitches been taken care of? Some pilots in USA still have doubts Some 63 Boeing 737-MAX aircraft are again being recalled for electrical wiring faults, despite just being re-certified to fly by government agencies around the world, and there are even more justifiable reasons why someone might just want to give this plane a pass. The new issue is said to impact 16 airlines which fly the 737-MAX.

Actually the inaugural BLR-COK flight was operated in the afternoon. Only the next day onwards the 7:15 flight was operated

Top notch. Very clean and clear video. On par with international aviation bloggers! Keep it up! Few questions: If I am not wrong, did you mention population of CBE & TRP combined as 4.5 lakhs? The video cam was fixed to the window or hand held during the entire duration of flight?

Thank you Mukilan. Appreciate the kind words. 1.It was a human error. Had researched the correct combined population but had gone wrong during the voiceover 2. During take off and landing, one was fixed and another was handheld. Though I figured you could do this on the MAX, as mentioned in the video the windows are a little lower and seemed wider as compared to the A320s. This technique didn’t work out on my return on 6E as the angle was non workable when fixing it.

I still don't trust the 737-max aircrafts even though Boeing told us they have fixed the MCAS system! Why do airlines actually go for 737-max when Airbus has built a trustworthy A320? But anyways your review is really good and the livery looks cool!

Thank you Aravind for your appreciation. Indeed it’s a great looking livery. Lots of factors go into choosing an aircraft. As much as the A320 has an impeccable record in safety, MAX has don’t well ever since that fatal double air crash. Probably Akasa Air has chosen MAX because there were undelivered MAX aircraft which they would have got at a much more competitive price. Plus in terms of ground force and jobs, there was still a gap left by Jet Airways which had a B737 fleet. There are just some of the few factors

It id modi air. This will not start flight till BJP in power. By the way they hv flight Bengaluru to Guwahati and Bengaluru to Agartala (tripura) but not in Kolkata. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 anyone knows this two airports has much less crowd than kolkat but simultaneously BJP ruled states. So doubt rises.
