No formating the SD card caused this. The video wasn't on how to or what happens when you format a card. It was for the camera itself.

Yeah I had like 5 vids and they got deleted once I formatted but it actually says "formatting will delete all videos stored on device and pictures"

because you guys formatted. When you format the camera all your videos get deleted so you need to store them onto a usb first then format and then connect. It actually tells you "formatting the camera will delete all files on camera"

Yeah for sure. There's not alot of good info out there so I made this video cause I discovered what worked with my galaxy phone. It takes forever to upload video and stuff u film, so I did go out and buy a gopro but my girl will be using the akaso while we fish togather this year. I did like three hours legit trying to find different apps till one worked so hang in there you'll find what works for ya

Hey bud, I have that kamera also but haven't opened it because I have the v50 pro se. Thing is, I have videos that I wanna edit and post but I kannot get it done. This video is really helpful upon another video I think I seen or I may have tinkered and figured it out. What I'm stuck on is, the konnection, the wifi. I get to that point but, Idk how to konnect it to my phone. I don't have hotspot on my phone and maybe I don't need it but when it says konnect to wifi, I'm lost. Kan you help me please?

It literally tells u before proceeding that it will delete all storage on the card. So by you clicking to go ahead you deleted them. I'm sorry that happened but this video was how to download video to your phone. Not what formatting an SD card does or that you have to read what pops up before clicking continue.

So what I'm gathering from the comments is a lot of people are recording stuff or taking pictures before they insert and format a SD card and losing their pics and vids. So in short, again from what I gather, is to insert a SD card when you first get this camera and format it so whatever you do from that point on is gonna be okay???

Helpful--thanks, but I am stuck at downloading via the iSmart DV app. It's about a one minute long video, downloads to 100% and then nothing happens. And if I click on anything it says I've successfully canceled the download. I've let it sit for a few minutes, but maybe not long enough? ...does it take a while to finish processing and it just sits at 100% for awhile?

They are gone if you formatted the camera because that erases all memory on the SD or internal storage and makes the storage ready for the camera to use. Sorry it was a busy day at work I didn't get to check notifications but yeah if you formatted the camera all the memory is wiped clean

I can take the SD card out of my drone and put it in a card reader, connect that to my iPhone and transfer the videos but if I try the same method with this camera it doesn’t work. Absolute pain in the ass, any ideas?

make sure, ur phone has enuff space. I was in Belize, and was swimming with sharks, & got the craziest Videos...& it wouldn't down load. I had 2 clear space in my phone. & it worked.

You’re really screwing people over man. I just got this camera and have hours of footage I just lost from following the first step of the video. People follow this expecting to export their files, not instantly delete them. Not everyone knows what formatting does, title should be how to wipe your SD card not how to export.
