AKC Junior Hunt Tests || Chasing After Our TITLE

Well Ace got it done! We were able to go 4/4 and receive our AKC JH Title. I'm so proud of this pup. As a new handler to the hunt test games I am extremely excited for this opportunity. We are continuing our training preparing for this fall. I can't wait to see what else we have in store!

IM working with my 1 year old retriever with hopes of doing this in the fall. Can you tell me what items you would bring to a hunt test to be prepared please? Im starting to gather the items I need over the summer to be ready in the fall. Thanks and Congrats!

So in a junior test you really only need a few things. A duck call, your whistle, a flat buckle collar and a lead for the test. Make sure you wear “hunting color” apparel. Solid colors like brown, tan, black are ok. Be sure to bring lots of water for both you and your dog along with a fan.

@@ChasingTheCall Thanks bud. I went to an HRC event over the weekend, and we got 2 passes on the "Started" level (same as jr for AKC basically). Going to take a 5 hr trip in a few weeks and go after our first HRC title! Need 2 more passes.

@@Dylan_Smith94 there aren’t any more hunt tests for AKC this year in Iowa except for skunk which is a great event! I believe there may be some yet in Minnesota though
