Ake Festival 2022 | PALM WINE & POETRY

This has become the trademark Ake Festival sign-off event and a firm favourite with the audience. With guests in high spirits after three intense days of new books, mingling and chatting with African creatives, guests and friends, we gather to be entertained by poets, musicians and spoken word artists, all with a calabash of freshly- tapped palm wine in hand. The mohall is abuzz, the mood is lively, the poetry is moving and powerful. For us, there is no better way to say ‘thank you’ for ten incredible years of books, art, entertainment, learning and fun.
