Really like the rear/side screen option. Only thing in that scenario is the rear view distance is changed. At full rear view screen the object in the mirror is closer, on the split screen the same object appears further away. I guess you’d get used to judging the distances.

HI Michael! Ah yes mirror dash cams will change the perspective of objects due to their wide angle nature vs the narrow view provided by a normal mirror. If the perspective change bothers you, the dash cam can be used with the LCD panel off like a normal mirror or you can use one of these ones kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJKtfpSXq5x5mLc or kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZrUfopnh7B2j7c both allow you to adjust between the wider and narrow view with their zoom function. Also the best way to experience the wide view (perspective change) of an LCD mirror before buying one, would be to test drive a C8, Cybertruck or a new Toyota or Lexus the higher end models come standard with an LCD mirror. Hi David! ah good question, I think if you need a side camera then the Akeeyo 360° will be the better choice but if you don't need a side camera, then I would go for the Akeeyo 720° for it's dual 360° sensors (and it can also be direct mounted with a conversion kit) Hope this helps, Cheers!

Hi Chloe! Those three dash cams are in very different categories. What I usually tell people looking for the right dash cam for them is to start by picking the style of dash cam (Mirror or classic stick). Then how many cameras does it need to have (1, 2 or 3). Now that you have narrowed your selections, consider how much you want to spend on one, that will narrow your choices even further. Then consider any special features you are looking for such as 360° video, Side Camera, Wi-Fi, Parking monitor without hardwire, cloud support, High Frame Rate. Finally you would want to compare video quality. Your videos are so helpful and they led me to liking both the 360 and 720 units and even after watching them over and over, I still couldn't decide between them. I finally went to their website to choose one and I settled on the 360 mainly because the 720 price was only discounted $20 while the 360 was discounted about $104 for prime day (even though they don't sell on Amazon). With the savings I ended up buying an extra rear camera since I couldn't decide between the interior or exterior one. Anyway, this video outlining the menu and settings will come in handy once the unit comes in. Although it's all outlined in their manual, I like see it visually explained. BTW, I noticed in the video the VesseGo app shows the videos and the GPS map locations. Does it have any other features like for exporting or manipulating the videos taken?

Hi David! glad to hear they helped! and congrats on your new 360° mirror dash cam btw! ah regarding exporting, yes it does let you export a particular angle you are interested (it calls it "translate" lol you can see the button at the lower right hand corner looks like a film frame with arrows next to it) and you can also use a free program called handbrake to further export the converted video into different formats. And if you want to play it with zoom or slow motion for that I use VLC which is also free. Hope this helps bud!

Hi Rishikaysh! I usually don't recommend running mirror dash cams off the OBD adapter as most can only provide 2A out of the 2.5-3A that most mirror dash cams require. The major down side of this cam is you have to STOP recording just to change a simple setting.🤔! If the cam was smart enough to adapt to any settings while still recording, that would be worth the price! In addition, there should be a screen saver option where the screen NEVER turns on (but still records) when someone turns on the vehicle in the event there is someone else using your vehicle who you do NOT want to know there is a dash cam recording in the vehicle... Do you know any cams with this screen saver option?

Hi Jessica! Yep! I find it very annoying too, seems most mirror dash cams I test don't require you to stop the recording to access the settings but I still run into quite a bit of them that do ugh LOL But I love the idea of the always off screen saver! I thought about this when I first got mine specially for the situation you describe of potentially catching video of theft without alerting the thief itself. That also some kind of password or pin so if they do know how to turn the screen on, they can't turn off the recording (for valet or leaving the car at the dealer be great) So far no mirror dash cam has either option but I will update this comment once I find one that does. Hi! This dash cam does not support Wi-Fi.
