Ive been at ups for three years , doing preload , its rough for a couple of weeks maybe months . Your body will eventually toughen up so long as you are proactive about taking care of your body , drink a lot of water , force yourself to get 8 solid hours of sleep , lifting boxes seems like a simple job , but i have learned that there are a multitude of ways to use leverage not muscles . I try to thank my workmates after finishing a truck , even if they are slow . Low morale is common as its a graveyard shift . You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders , and by the way , Good job ! Carry on .

I've been both unloader and sorter and I can honestly say that unloader is more harder physically but your right sorter is more of a mental job

ive worked last year as a driver helper and from what i can tell you is the next couple of months is gonna be the worst. first couple of weeks will make you beg and cry and after the next couple of months your body is gonna get used to it. best advice is get as much sleep as you can and i mean every minute counts. make sure you stretch before you go to work, it will help your muscles when your actually working. best of luck to you

Your hub seems to practice some form of team work which is awesome! The hub in Atlanta that I used to work at was pretty much every man for himself from day 1

I just started about a week ago and im so sore i can barely move my arms and legs. Especially after having 2 intense loading days in a row. I honestly don't know how to even get the energy for the next day.

@AkemiLife7 жыл бұрын
QuickSilver SnD I get paid weekly! But you do not get paid until the 2nd week
@cvo76177 жыл бұрын
Akemi o so they don't count the training week
@AkemiLife7 жыл бұрын
QuickSilver SnD the training week is paid! It just takes a week to process the check. So you'll get paid on the second week for all of the hours you've worked in the week before.
@cvo76177 жыл бұрын
Akemi o ok thank u do u think I should join as package handler is it worth it?
@AkemiLife7 жыл бұрын
QuickSilver SnD if it's your only option then it's definitely better than not working. Plus the job gives you benefits and a pension just for working part time which is a HUGE plus.

Ok, I’m a package handler. I have 3 trucks on my own in 6 hours. I leave drenched with sweat and filthy and you don’t look like that. I unload the packages, scan them, and load the truck. Quit crying
