Am new to watching dressage, and only on youtube. I read of several levels and wish videos would reference the level they are riding at so I can learn. I never compare because I don't know much. But this is owner/rider, and I love seeing akhal-teke, and all the different gaited horses as well, Saw another akhal-teke dressage schooling, but just beginning, and rider is slender young male, and excellent, but it must be joy to own this horse and learn dressage together, yes?

I believe they were originally bred to complete lengthy treks, so their build would make sense.

My horse is just a "mutt", so I don't know much, but is it just me or are Akhal Tekes extremely spindly? They seem to have a very long ribcage/abdomen area. But anyways, beautiful horse, beautiful riding. Very graceful.

So kind to reply. I found nice video of akhal-teke with extended trot, from a Russian stables, Have read FEI pages, but videos don't say age of horse and level, and high levels say horse must be minimum 7 yrs, I think. Anyway, here is video I looked at Akhal Teke stallion Alchak [Amelit-Aisona] Gelishikli line dressage training

They are really cool horses for sure, and I'm sure they are wonderful to work with. I just really really dislike this rider. This video does say what level; it's PSG which is a fairly high level. It also depends on what level the show is (meaning is it registered with various dressage associations). You can find out more about levels on Wikipedia, and also check out USDF and FEI pages on dressage for info.

Maybe a joke lol, no one at this level rides so sloppy, heels up, legs all over the place, bouncing in the saddle.

this rider is the one who needs training -- he is a big fat toad on that horse-- the horse is amazing -- the rider is technically a train wreck-
