Thanks very much for video. It helped me immensely. Just wanted to add that we had an orange juice carton leak on and into the seams of our shelf. So the glass-to-plastic binding from the sticky juice did not permit our shelf to tip as easily as yours. However, I put down three dish towel on our kitchen counter top and let the glass and shelf warm to room temperature (about 15 minutes) before slowly working warm water (about 95*F) into the seams with a toothbrush.Then I slowly poured about a 1/4 of warm water along the seams until I noticed water slowly dripping onto the dish towels. That allowed me to break the sticky seal so I could push up the glass and continue to follow your video instructions. (Next time I will not give the juice time to create that sticky seal.)

I'm grateful for the assistance. After understanding the process, I discovered that after lifting it and pulling gently results in a smooth slide-out, no flipping or knife required. Mine didn’t have much under it so YRMV. Thanks once again!

The green mess growing under the glass was awful and I couldn’t clean it! Your video was very clear and concise. I used a plastic putty knife to loosen the glass as I was afraid of cracking the glass. I watched your video twice and was successful. I went to the GE book and it wasn’t helpful at all. Excellent! I was able to do it myself! But mine was so grimey I had to spray cleaner along the back so the glass would pop out. I would also suggest doing the process on the counter covered with a towel! You are brave to do it on a gard surface! Thanks!

If glass is stuck to white frame, suggest soaking the cracks with with warm soapy water to loosen the sticky mess below. Then you can gentle press out as Amer shows. Thanks for the video Amer!

Do you have any advice on cleaning the upper shelving units? The glass does not come off those.

A vinegar solution or window cleaner are both good options, the window cleaner will smell of ammonia though. I use vinegar solution (a table spoon in some water) for most applications.

First remove the drawers below the shelf. Then wiggle the shelf and you will get the idea on how to remove it, difficult to explain.

You can gently pull glass from the end that is lifted by paper towels

Most likely stuck due to something going under the glass, try applying force as close to the middle support as possible from both ends or pry it out from the middle with a knife

Good but not necessary to flip. Raise glass from back the shove out towards back gently. The glass will come out. Clean it all. Them place glass back. Slide the front in then the glass will slide in place. :(
