Yo! we've been good dude. What we do is find a song or an artist we like on soundcloud find their contact info (it's usually there on their soundcloud profile) send a quick introduction, and ask permission to use thier song in a video. Most people on soundcloud are pretty open to letting you use their music. Unless they are really really big artists then they might ask for a licence fee.

"Wonderfully strange" is a perfect description for Japan. We love it there, it's definitely one of our favorite places to visit.

My best advice for traveling around Japan is to visit other cites away from Tokyo. Tokyo is for sure a blast, But there are so many other cities that totally rock! Kyoto is a must, Osaka for sure, Fukuoka is also well worth it! The list of places to visit could go on & on....so much to explore! Please definitely hit me up the next time you make it to Japan, since I will be living there, I would for sure love to help carry a heavy camera bag & help translate! Keep up the great work!

We actually can't speak a word of Japanese, but honestly getting around Japan without understanding Japanese was pretty easy. There is English everywhere for the most part. The hardest thing is ordering food...a lot of pointing lol 😂.

A few ways, this one was for another job. We were hired to film a vise in Japan so we decided to stay a bit longer after the the job was finished. But a lot of our trips we save up from other jobs then travel with that. Hopefully one day we can just get sponsors to help us pay for our trips and videos but right now they are mostly self funded.

Love your BTS but shaky footage can be hard to watch. Consider getting a gimbal like the Zhiyun Crane with a small mirrorless camera. I have the setup with the now defunct Samsung NX500 (still the best APS-C sensor though) and my home videos look much better.

Agreed, we usually have our glidecam but didn't feel like lugging it around that day. We'll look into the one of the pistol grip gimbals. We have a ronin but it's way too heavy lol.

Yeah, glidecam or ronin is not practical. The pistol grip gimbals have come a long way and they are very affordable now. They will quickly and easily electronically balance if you get the balance somewhat close. I got one as soon as they could support mirrorless cameras. Companies made gimbals for ones for cell phones first but that wasn't worth it to me. My current gimbal can easily support the Sony a7 all the way down to a cell phone.
