The 1140th Marines in real life had an incident where a bullied marines shot and killed other marines. So this was incorporated into the Squid Games season 2 that Dae ho suffered ptsd from witnessing that event.

I love Hyun-Ju (player 120)!😍She really stole the show in my opinion and now is my favorite from the 2 seasons (and already including season 3). That slap was iconic 😂 and now being a badass with the guns. Love her! 💜 And I shouldn't say this, but I like the front man too, while he was being friendly and with that stares to see Gi-Hun's reactions, reminds me a lot the vibe from Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal. hahha

The season 2 was better in my opinion. And the vote was necessary to show and proove the frontman point that people would do anything for money that despite been given the choice to leave after seeing that there is a, high probability of death if you stay to play one more game that people would still choose to gamble with their life

This season was okay. It wasn’t as dark as season 1 but apparently season 3 was made along side season 2 but they decided to split it up. I guess they just wanted to create something that leads to season 3 which will be hopefully insane

@@_Jayson1730 ironically I feel it's much darker than Season 1. We do not feel the shock factor and impact of the death scenes because naturally we have become " anesthetized " after watching S1. There is no way except we suffer from amnesia that any death scene in season 2 or any other season would have shocked us like it did in season 1. It's the same case for doctors or professionals who deal or see death and suffering in their occupation regularly..... The first few deaths and suffering may traumatize them but after that their minds automatically develop a protective shield to numb them from any more shock / trauma... and that's the only way that they can go back to work. The recruiter scenes with the 2 loansharks as well as with gi-hub alone is much darker than any scene in S1 In addition I say S2 is darker as it shows clearly the minds and actions of the players ( stay players) ... They actually were asking how many roaches ( lives) we're lost after the 5 mini games... Then they were even arguing with the guard who informed them 110 lives were lost, asking him " Only 110"? That it should have been more. Then after the mingle game and the tie vote when X group were trying to convince O group to change their mind and the O group replied don't worry when all of you in X group have died in the next game then we will have more funds to share. Or the fact the front man got into the game both to observe and try to understand what makes gi-hun tick as well as to proove to Gi-hun u cannot save everyone or rather in this world there are some people u can never save no matter how much you try... Such people will always choose the path to destruction of their lives. In S1 the old man did not know Gi-hun before ... We were only shocked because we thought he was a poor feeble old man who gi- hun had cheated in ghanbu game only to discover he was the organiser. In S2 it's darker as frontman knows everything about Gi- hun and we the Audience know he knows and yet there was Gi-hun trusting him. Or look at the sniper girl... One moment handing out candy at fair and the next moment ... Or what of the police officer who knows his brother is the frontman and yet did not inform / show Gi-hun the brother picture. Can u imagine the difference that piece of information would have made to all Gi-hun plans when he came back into the game. There are so many more examples I can state but to summarize it the fact that the organisers know all the plans of Gi-hun and his team and we the Audience know they know and yet Gi-hun, the police man and his team are not aware ...... The mind games / mental chess been played in S2 far exceeds that in S1.

The aim of the show is not just to keep playing games and killing people but rather that people voluntarily chose to stay in the game Basically the frontman and the organisers of the game (excluding the VIP as I think the VIP just enjoy seeing people suffer ) . But to the frontman and organisers and even the recruiter the Aim was to show that people will voluntarily put themselves in such dangerous situation with hope of winning something big. In season 1 the people had no choice of voting to leave after every game except for the 1st one but after the 1st game and vote when they came back they were stuck and it was a case of bo going back. Also in season one there could only be one winner and I repeat they had no choice of voting to leave and splitting the accumulated funds. While in season 2 they had the choice over and over again and hence the time spent showing us the voting scenes to prove that you would have thought that any rational human being after seeing such gory death scenes and also narrowly escaping death that you would not need any one to convince u to convince u to leave! Hence in my opinion season 2 is so much better than 1.

Nah they can vote whenever they want to in S1 too but in s1 they wouldn't get a single penny if they quit but in s2 if the majority votes to quit the game then they can leave with an equal share of the money
