Specifically designed to offer extreme casting distances, the Akios AIRLOOP R10 BLACK EDITION is the reel of choice should you be seeking extra yardage. A true casting machine, the AIRLOOP offers super slow oscillation, laying a phenomenal 54 turns of line per cycle on the tournament length spool resulting in truly exceptional line lay. The precise laying of line on the spool significantly reduces frictional drag as the line peels off the spool leading to substantial gains in casting distances.
Equipped with an impressive 8+1 stainless steel ball bearings and a worm drive gearing mechanism, not only is the AIRLOOP silky smooth it's incredibly tough too. The speed drag system allow the drag to be tightened up with just a fraction of a turn allowing hard running fish to be instantly tamed.
This is the Akios AIRLOOP R10 with a spool that's 10mm longer than the AIRLOOP R8 providing even greater line capacity and even longer casting potential.

Fantastic reels. I swapped from Utopia SX8’s to these. Love the composite body. Positive bail arm. And easy to find/grab anti reverse. Line lay is impeccable. As a result long casts are a doddle. Fantastic product from Akios. I also rate the line highly- very slik. And flies through the rings. 👍🐳👍

Great reel. I still got the white version and still going strong after 5 years. Only problem I found is that's it's very heavy. I've now got the penn tidal xt and a shimano ci4 14000 which are much better

Cheers for the comment, I haven't tried the others so I wouldn't know on the weight side. Tbh I didn't find them overly heavy but I guess it's different for everyone using it

I have never tried the Penn reels so can't comment on them. when trying to source basic replacement parts for previous Penn reels I have owned have been a shambles! However having used the Akios reels for many years now I can safely say that the reels are fantastic that coupled with the outstanding UK based customer service and after sales repairs akios offers is a no brainier really!

@@TheEastbourneFisherman I use the fury FX 450 rods and needed a mid section for one of them and they sorted it and was with me the next day so yes out standing service.
