Dang dude that looks so good! Love that you left the cylinder heads and the coolant pipe stock color. I like the Honda letters on the front cover to be painted a different color to stand out, but I would also understand if you left yours as is.

Thanks! Yeah I thought leaving that coolant pipe stock would give a nice contrast and I like emphasizing the different function of different parts with colors. I was tempted to do the front letters polished but chose not to, I regret that now though.

I'd love to see a major manufacturer make a bike like this, but all the big manufacturers are notoriously conservative. Market leaders won't generally do much more than absolutely necessary to barely distinguish themselves from competitors while minimizing risk along the way. Primarily innovators and startups take the major risks. Recumbents have been around for many decades and still no one has done anything with them. Honda changed the world with the supercub, they could do it again, but don't have much interest in it. They dabbled a bit with the NM4 scooter, which I felt was a half hearted comprise between uprights and recumbents and wasn't very good at being either, but that's about all any major manufacturer has done.

@@matus1976 really you could be designing a better, more safer, motorcycle since the rider is a little more protected.

@@JBGecko13yt Yup absolutely, the recumbent platform offers quite a few potential safety advantages. I'll be taking advantage of them as the build goes on!

Haven't you considered going electric? There's a very nice wheel with an electric motor hub integrated, then you could repurpose the motor space for the battery pack. And you'd have plenty of power for other electronics. If you go for an aerodynamic design that would also help extend the range. The guys from The Inja channel used it with Lithium-Ion batteries and the performance was pretty impressive.

Oh yeah definitely going to make an electric version, I'm focusing on getting the prototype done and testing started before doing any major design changes like that though. Most of that front area under the steering column is all open too, there's actually plenty of room for batteries AND an I.C.E. The under-carriage can be mostly filled with batteries as well, I've done some design studies and it's looks pretty good. An all electric version with some basic fairings would probably get 2-3x the range of any other electric motorcycle.

@@matus1976 I wish I had the money and skills to get on similar project but based on the Suzuki G-Strider concept. I think the lowered center of gravity and the aerodynamics would be great for range.

What do you use to film these episodes?

These videos are all either my Canon VIXIA HF R800 or my Galaxy Note 10+, I did just recently pick up a nicer camera (Canon EOS M50 M2) that can do FHD 60FPS too, so video qualities will start improving as well.
