I still recall VPN showing a 3D holography in as early as 1976. I salute him for taking the pain of coming to Bangalore and giving a talk to the electronics teachers who were the curriculum team of Karnataka government in the year 2004. His presentation I have got it even today. His contribution to photo electronics is wide and deep.

The way he has connected from poetry to atomic chain reaction in his presentation titled “asymmetry in symmetry”. The human body and its symmetry and asymmetry and so on. The talk still echoes in my ears.

This was an intellectual treat that left a lasting impression. This talk was well-structured, with a clear introduction, a logical progression of ideas, and a thought-provoking conclusion. It had perfect balance of depth and clarity, ensuring that non-experts like me could appreciate and learn from the talk. Throughout the talk, the anecdotes , data, and visual aids, made this genuinely fascinating. I also liked the experiments that were presented so that kids could also understand the basics of science.

Very smart guy. In a state like kerala where neither the people nor the govt has much interest or inclination for basic sciences other than biology, he has managed to do relatively well in physics. I have a lot of respect for him. But age has caught up with him. His knowledge has become outdated. His incorrect notions about mobile phone radiation and meaningless things he said about AI reflect that.
