As someone new to the keyboard hobby, your videos are so so so helpful. Switches are expensive, and frequently out of stock, and hard to buy, and really hard to return if you don't like them. And you can't try them in person until after they've arrived. So your videos are so amazingly helpful to learn how switches sound and feel before buying them. It's the closest I can get to trying them out myself. Really appreciate all the effort you go through to standardize your testing, and the amazing production value.

Thank you for the hard work. This is the only channel that has consistent sound comparison. I am tired of all other channels do sound test on different builds and setups, like this one video I watched the dude did sound comparison between 2 different switches on 2 different keyboards with different mods on them, it’s insane.

Their matcha green v3 is pretty 👌🏾 as well. Super smooth and was very well lubed from the factory. One of my favorite switch in my collection right now.

Agreed. I think I prefer matcha greens to pianos. But I'm basing that on how they sound in my Keychron v3 with the mods I did to it.

I just got the M1W prebuilt (ISO) and the switches feel absolutely divine, very smooth out of the box and with a nice return force from the spring. I've been tactile gang for a while but I might just keep them. They are quite clacky but I don't really mind, however I will do tape + polyfill mods to this board to improve the acoustics a bit.

When I went to Akko's site, they seem to be selling the non-boxed version of the Akko V3 Piano Pros. Did they change the design? I'm so confused since I thought the Akko V3 Piano Pros are box type. Did they update the design again?

@@ClickandThock I can currently confirm that there are 2 versions of the Akko Piano Pro V3s since I have them in front of me. I tried purchasing their box of 45pcs from two separate suppliers and one came with the regular one, and the other the box type. They are not the CS Piano, the box really says Akko Piano Pro V3 on both. They have a slight difference between the Stem Length and Total Travel. The rest of the specs are the same. I've emailed Akko and asked the suppliers and it seems like they went to the regular ones starting this January (or maybe as early as late December). Not sure which one is better now since this is my first keyboard and I'm not that too perceptive yet with the small details and nuances.

@@ClickandThock I got an official confirmation from them: "Because different people like different styles, the previous old version was equipped with a dust-proof structure. Some customers prefer the switch without the dust-proof structure, so we have also released a version without the dust-proof structure."
@illitero4 ай бұрын
They are listed on Amazon as two different types, the differentiator being "Upgraded" - So not sure which part is the upgrade haha. I wonder if it was an accidental screw up on spec at some point between Akko and the manufacturer(s)

I would really be interested how they compare to the HG (Haimu x Geon) Black switches, which for me are currently the best value but unfortunately the spring is a little bit too heavy for me
