Awesome axplanation as always! Although, according to my textbook it's worth noting that beta-D-anomer of glucose is more stable than the alpha-D-anomer, and so in equilibrium there's around 63% of beta anomer and 37% of alpha anomer (which results in the total amount of rotation of 52.7°, which is a bit more towards the rotation amount of pure beta-D-anomer). Also since alpha-D-anomer is less stable and gives off energy more freely, it's more common in nature,. On the other hand beta-D-anomer is, for example, found as a monosaharide monomer of celulose since it is the more stable form. Also, I'm just a med student so don't take this as 100% correct. Again, best videos as always!
