ക്രിയാത്മക ചിന്ത. ഒരു ഗ്ലാസില്‍ പകുതിവെള്ളമുണ്ടെന്ന് കരുതുക. അതിനെ നോക്കി ചിലര്‍ പറഞ്ഞേക്കും, ഗ്ലാസ് പകുതിയും കാലിയാണെന്ന്. മറ്റു ചിലരുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയില്‍ ഗ്ലാസില്‍ കുറച്ചേ വെള്ളമുള്ളൂ എന്നാകാം. ചിലര്‍ പറയും ഗ്ലാസില്‍ കുറേ വെള്ളമുണ്ട്. ചിലര്‍ക്ക് പറയാനാകും ഗ്ലാസില്‍ പകുതിയും വെള്ളം നിറഞ്ഞുനില്‍ക്കുന്നു, അഥവാ പകുതിയും ഫുള്ളാണ്. ഇതെല്ലാം ശരിയാണു താനും. എന്നാല്‍ കേള്‍ക്കുന്നവരുടെ മനസ്സ് കുളിര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നത് ഏതായിരിക്കും. ഇതില്‍ പകുതിയും നിറഞ്ഞുനില്‍ക്കുന്നു എന്നതാണ് പോസിറ്റീവ് തിങ്കിങ്. കുറച്ചുകൂടി വെള്ളമൊഴിച്ചാല്‍ ഗ്ലാസ് നിറയും എന്ന മനോഭാവത്തിനാണ് അത് വഴിവയ്ക്കുക. ഗ്ലാസില്‍ കുറച്ചേ വെള്ളമുള്ളൂ, പകുതിയും കാലിയാണ്, ഏതാണ്ട് കാലിയാണ് എന്നതെല്ലാം നിരാശയുടെ മനഃസ്ഥിതിയാണുണ്ടാക്കുക.
