Aksum feels like a obvious pick for both the new economic victory due to their trade dominance, and the new Civilization progression system, with it being safe to assume that Ethiopia will become a modern era civ if you play historical with them (And for non historical paths, perhaps we could change into other economic civs like Songhai or the spanish). Manis "4 Great powers" of antiquity are all in 1 civilization game for the first time!

The "4 great kingdoms" were already together before, unless you don't consider more modern Ethiopia to count. But then, China wouldn't count either... or aquemenid Persia instead of sassanid...

Add like for TOP! In developing the Civilization game series, it would be intriguing to see future branches of technology or development paths that are not static but rather influenced by choices. Much like how the invention of the internet didn’t inherently predict cryptocurrency, certain paths in the game could remain hidden or evolve in unpredictable ways based on player decisions. This would allow technology trees to become more dynamic and mirror the organic, often surprising nature of real-world technological advancements.

I'll be partial and favor a Sulu or Maguindanao as an Exploration Age Civ focused on guerilla tactic but maritime defense. Managed to stay uncolonized for at almost 2 centuries after Spanish colonization. Make it happen, Firaxis. Please😢

@@thefoxoflaurels3437 Well, that's all we know for now. Of course, there might still be DLC that we don't know of that will add more appropriate leaders for Aksum, but we can't know yet. Hope and wait is all we can do for now, sadly.
