Papyrus has been annoyed by the puns Sans made, but he doesn't really hate them. It's just that to him, the puns made by Sans have 0 effort at all which gets on his nerves. He enjoys well made puns that have a lot of thought and effort to it. He made twice as many puns as Sans.

God, I loved this. I always Imagined that Hardmode Undertale (Neutral/Pacifist/Genocide) had varying contrasts in the monsters' personalities. (My Insight on it) [Neutral/Pacifist] - Toriel is much less 'childing' with you. She tells you upright how things go on in the underground, knowing that you'll likely want to leave deeper into it, and Instead of telling you that the ruins are your new home: She'll prepare you as you traverse the ruins (kinda like the tutorial Flowey gives us to move our soul and doge attacks), working you bit by bit with stronger and more difficult puzzles and or [In a Fight] more difficult bullet patterns. Then, when you reach the exit to the ruins, she'll throw everything at you (While, per usual, making her attacks miss If you get too low) all at once to see If you're ready to leave. Fall below 5 hp and she'll send you back upstairs, and you may return when you want to try again. [Genocide] - I think from my perspective here, Toriel isn't going to be as clueless as she is in vanilla undertale. She'll catch wind of what's going on, first assuming it's out of self defense but as you kill more and approach level 3 and or level 4, she'll realize what it is you're doing. She's no longer going to be doing what's right for you. She's going to do what's right for everyone else. When you approach the ruins, I know she'll have taken precautions beforehand as the toy knife will be missing from its rightful resting place. Go to the exit to the ruins and Toriel is waiting there with a few ruins monsters that were willing to help her in any way they can (Could be Final Froggit, Whimsalot, Astigmatism). You're gonna have a hellish time getting through them, as Toriel briefly questions why you did this before returning her focus to taking you down. Kill off the three enemies, causing Toriels attack and defense to raise. She's MUCH more difficult to beat and will not be taken down with a single hit. Don't forget, she was once QUEEN of the underground and was alive as long as asgore has been. She's no stranger to battle, even if she's rusty. I reckon she'd even have near the same stats that asgore does, and you'll likely only be able to tank 4 hits total before dying to her. She'd be amazing in this route. After all, mother/monster knows best, right? [Neutral/Pacifist] -Papyrus takes his job WAY more seriously. It plays heavily into how his personality was supposed to be, cracking jokes in the middle of a fight while doubling down on the fact that he needs to take your soul. He's much more determined to do so at the start, but deep down we all know papyrus. [Forgettable.] JK! He doesn't actually want to do this. Yeah, he wants to be a Royal Guard, make everyone and his brother proud, but let's face it. He couldn't kill someone even If he wanted to, shown how in vanilla undertale he brings your HP down to 1 and even here he brings your HP below 1 to 0.01, he has zero intent to really kill you and all of his attacks after the fact STILL wouldn't have killed you. He is, after all, the great papyrus! [Genocide] - Unlike in any other route, here you CAN die to papyrus. From the few monsters in the ruins that toriel managed to vacate and save after realizing what you've done, he's fully aware of the extent of your actions. By the time you've reached him, word has spread to waterfall where Undyne is already beginning to evacuate innocent monsters as fast as she can. He won't exactly rush you at the start of snowdin, but will be waiting for you where you normally encounter him. He'd try to question why you're doing what you're doing, but you initiate the fight mere seconds after he tries to talk to you. I Imagine he'll counterattack almost immediately, as although he's surprised, he also did expect that sort of reaction. Papyrus still wants you to do better, but this time? He'll do what must be done to either take you down or steer you onto the right path, even if he has to BEAT the lessons into your thick skull. His attacks have more power behind them, as he's actually working TO bring physical harm to you this time. WIth a mixture of his Iconic puzzles, awkward puns mid-fight and a creative usage of his bone attacks, it'd be slightly MORE difficult than Vanilla Undyne the Undying. Near the end of the fight, he'll give you one last chance to do what's right. You'll get your turn, and inevitably one shot him. However, he wouldn't dust Immediately. He completely saw that coming, but really wanted to hope you'd do the right thing. His head falls into his hands as he's visibly struggling to keep himself together, but as soon as he speaks.. you'd strike him down. Over. And Over. And Over. Repeatedly slashing away at the Great Papyrus until he's nothing more than dust and broken armor laying in the dry snow. He did his best, but it wasn't enough. [Pacifist/Neutral] - Undyne undeniably would be much more difficult and crueller towards the human. She has to be. Ranging from being stricter with papyrus now that he's in the royal guard, to doubling down on what he has to do despite his kind nature. Her attacks, without a doubt, would deal more damage to us and would be more difficult. From the chase scenes, up to when we get to monster kid and into hotlands. The only time she'd stop is when we give her the water when she overheats, and then everything goes on as per usual in vanilla undertale. [Genocide] - I don't think I need to say much here other than I Imagine she won't go down in one hit when she saves monster kid. In fact, before this she'd have evacuated more monsters from waterfall so you end up with even LESS LV when you go to battle her. Sure you'll *probably* deal a large amount of damage to her, but It's at this point where her feelings towards you borderline hatred. Her guard isn't down, she's fully prepared to do what must be done. You'll have to take out Regular Undyne before she shifts over to Undying, thus giving you a hellish fight to be dealing with. Even WHEN you drop her HP to zero again, I can Imagine she'll unleash all of her magic reserves in one final [New Objective: Survive] type bullet hell that you need to survive for a certain time limit before she finally succumbs to the damage dealt and the DT melting away at her body. A hero truly deserving of her title of Captain of the Royal Guard. [Neutral/Pacifist] - Alphys.. our dear alphys. Boy does she change a lot. She'll stutter a lot less, as watching you traverse the underground will help her boost her confidence, even more so when she's actively helping you through the core. Her puzzles are a lot more dangerous, but you don't know that yet. Due to alphys being on your side, a large majority of them have been disabled, and the ones that are still on? Alphys will help you pass them like she does in vanilla undertale. She knows how much more dangerous mettaton is [With it being hardmode and all], so when she upgrades your phone.. Let's Just say [[YOU CAN BE A BIG SHOT!]]. You'll need a lot more power to take him down, right? Our nerdy lizard friend comes in a lot more handy here, and we're all about it! [Genocide] - You'll receive no help from alphys, nor will she talk to you as normal. In fact, she'll openly taunt you as every single puzzle and trap in the core has been activated. Hell, she'll even trick you by activating traps mid-room while you're already knee deep into it to catch you off guard to have a better chance at killing you. She won't confront you directly, but her main objective is to deal as much damage to you as possible so you can pretty much die to anything If you aren't careful. Her whole shtick with this is to buy everyone a lot more time to evacuate, but she can only save so many they haven't left behind. Even then, with each trap you die to, little does she know you're adjusting and memorizing things.. like you've seen them all before.. how inevitable fate is, right? Poor Alphys. [Pacifist/Neutral] - Mettaton.. our beloved, dazzling robot! I deadass have nothing to say about him, sorry folks! I can't Imagine he'd be any different in these routes, he's already good enough! (Disappointing, I know but I'm only one person :c ) [Genocide] - [Will Edit More in Later. I have a LOT more insight on how these fights go.]

Oh my god I don't think everyone understands this, but in hard mode, the fallen human's name is Frisk. And based on Asgore's dialogue after you die, we get some pretty dark implications that Frisk looks the same as the fallen human that Asgore called his child in the past... if it was a proper genocide run you should leave the rooms with 5 LV if you did a MINIMUM Exp run, in the NORMAL version, but in the hard mode the enemies give me EXP so the only way LV 4 could work is if it was a neutral route @superfrutamagmarratmann5869
